you won't regret it. the thing about lost tapes is you have some BIGFOOT episodes, and then you have some WENDIGO episodes. it's a really mixed bag of quality with a bit of campy and campy with a bit of quality. looking back, the poltergeist episode was another pretty good one. it really got under my skin.

A timeless classic, still a good horror movie even by today's standards. I was always told Evil Dead was comical but later realized the first one is actually just hardcore horror, it's only the sequels which are goofy. The only laughs in the first one are from the deadites as they cackle. Some viewers might laugh at the practical effects though.

and later he was found perfectly okay and was accepting money sent to him from fans. The way he acted on TAPS I feel Jason Grant and everyone else were doing the wrong thing keeping him around. Forgiving him for the way he acted wasn't the right thing to do some people just need to be told to fuck off and stay away and Brian was one of them.
He was constantly causing drama and arguments, whenever it came to evidence he would get super competitive with Steve to the point that it just sucked the fun out of the show. You could tell Steve was barely tolerating him and I'm pretty sure Dave Tango left the show because he couldn't stomach Brian anymore and lost respect for Jason and Grant for keeping him around.

Hey there anon. Yeah, you are right, The original Evil dead was hardcore horror and the sequels were the ones goofy. They supposed are since they are some sort of parody of the first. "What would Evil Dead be since we got a huge budget now" sort of joke Sam Raimi.
About the remake, I do agree with you. Incredible tension and extreme gore. The director didn't disappoint the blessing Raimi and Bruce Campbell gave.

It has some great moments like the first glimpse of the leg in the cornfield. I think the idea of alien invasion if considered seriously is actually scary, but even more so if you think about a realistic scenario where they could probably slaughter us all easily instead of stumbling around and getting locked behind doors like they do in Signs.
