Hello /x/, this is my great grandpas access cards and pins from the years he worked at lockheed. Im trying to figure out where he got deployed in 1960. He didnt go to vietnam, and Im wondering if he worked in the skunkworks and what he's seen. Whenever you ask him about these things he says its classified but now with his old age im hoping he might spill some beans if i already seem like i know what he did. Hes said in the past that he has seen ufos and aliens but he wont go into detail. Any info would help this intriguing mystery of 30 years of his life.
"classifed" doesn't mean UFOs
There's lots of reasons to keep secrets about military stuff. Like trade secrets, keeping info from enemies and allies alike, to cover up mistakes, and well for graft reasons too.
Rotated your image for ya...
Nice thread. I hope he gives you more info.
Do you have some more?

Did you try doing a Google search for SSBN 598?
Your grandfather worked on the Polaris ballistic missile program, and deployed on the U.S.S. George Washington when she test-fired Polaris missiles in 1960.
Looks like he was also involved in NASA through LM's space systems company at Santa Cruz.
Really, Google is your friend.

Me again. Sorry for the snarky tone of the last post.
As far as your grandfather seeing UFO's and aliens, if true, that probably happened when he was at LM-SCF.
Not too many UFO's to see when you're a few hundred feet beneath the sea. (Not that there haven't been undersea alien craft.)

He likely knows how dangerous it is to disclose certain things to family members and will probably stay tight lipped. Probably. Sounds cool though, OP.
