Hey Paranormies guess what!? We're making another /x/ game for another Ludum Dare right NOW and you can enter your sketches from sketchtoy.com into the game! More details here and you can see how I made this sketch in this video:

The theme for this the 34th Ludum Dare is "growing" and "two button controls" so we're going to GROW A TULPA by picking up your sketches in a dreamworld, once we grow the tulpa large enough we can control it to beat the game as inspired by an /x/ anon suggestion for the /x/ 2D game.

Right now I'm laying out the level design. I have set up 3 instances (including the troll guarding the exit) where you can swap controls with your Tulpa and depending on how big you've grown the Tulpa you can smash or push down obstacles to continue.
Now to spruce up the landscape with more textures, trees, brush, and a river/lake.

A new day of progress begins! Great sketches submitted so far by /x/.
With the Ludum Dare theme being "two button controls" we have the ability to move forward and jump when human and move forward and punch when controlling the Tulpa.
This means to kill spider enemies we jump on top of them Mario style like pic related. Just finished coding that functionality in. Watch out for their fangs though! Now to code them so they will come at you and attack.

Pick up sigils (your drawings) and the Tulpa gets bigger. I have also now built and coded 3 "altars" where you can exchange the sigils (your drawings) collected in order to swap control with the Tulpa! Once you're in control of the Tulpa you can smash/punch the obstacles needed (and eventually the end boss) to beat the game. Starting on that now.
