You are basically talking to demons, dude. I don't recommend it and literally nothing good can come from it.

I recommend 3 things if you are honestly going to go through with this.

>Have salt around the board as a barrier against evil spirits.
>DO NOT PLAY ALONE.
>Say "Goodbye" and put the fucking board away if anything gets a bit hairy or you wish to end the conversation.
If you see the board somewhere where you KNOW it shouldn't be, follow >>17051943 for instructions on how to dispose of it.

I own this Ouija board.
While I am not in complete disbelief of their capabilities, I myself have never had any wildly supernatural experiences with mine, or at least I haven't yet.
There were 2-3 times where it made me feel a strange sense of mild paranoia, but that could've just been me.
>>
>>17051978
Not OP, but you might be getting in tune with the spirit world. I get that same feeling all the time.
>>

>>
>>17051845
Get the Parker brothers version.
Because summoning the spirits of the damned is fun for the whole family.
>>
>>17051845
I'm pretty skeptical, but the last place I lived in had a lot of really weird shit happen, especially when the landlord died it really ramped up.

When we moved out we still had the place for a few days, so my buddy who is way more into this shit convinced me to do a ouija session. We didn't get anything of value from the spelling, but right before we were about to call it quits the thing got pulled pretty violently forwards, almost like someone was pulling it with a rope from across the room. I'd consider my buddy fucking with me, but the angle would've been pretty awkward for him to have pulled it off and it was really forceful (I probably would've seen his forearm veins tense or something).

IDK we stopped after that, pretty freaked out in this empty, dark, quiet, probably haunted house. I'm not totally convinced what happened doesn't have a down-to-earth explanation, but I've yet to really figure it out.
>>
>>17052138
I actually bought this. All the conservative christian parents in line at Toys-R-Us were thrilled with me.
>>
>>17051845
I bought a ouija board back in 2007 at a Spencer's in the mall. Could never, ever get any type of movement and this was back when i was a believer. I'm proud to say I still have the board in the box in my closet, right on top of my old Super Nintendo box
>>
>>17053368

Just go on the Internet and tell lies
>>
>>17053447
Idk, I don't often post so I don't see why I would take the time to write that out if I didn't believe it was a real event. Also, I would tell a much better and fluent story if I could make it up. I'll just hide the next ouija thread I guess.
>>
>>17053368
how can you still be a fucking skeptic in the face of all evidence. be a realist, not a skeptic.
>>
Just think for a second, someone, probably a compagny made the board.. Did they make it thinking "Ok, the board ia ready. Let's test the product in order to sell it." plus that wood was probably a tree before that. Is it a fucking BS magic tree? would I've ever had a chance to summon any demons if i was playing with a glass against this tree ?

juste stop being paranoiac and open your fucking eyes guys.
>>
>>17051971
I think do not play alone is especially good advice that gets repeated. Not necessarily for protection from demons but rather from spiraling into delusional insanity.
>>
>>17053808
This

The board contains no magic properties
>>
>>17051938
Ouija Boards are sold in every toy store in America. There have been millions of boards sold, yet zero recorded cases of demonic possession, harm, or death resulting from use of the Ouija Board.

It's a toy. The fact that it's made by a company that makes board games should have been your first clue that it's not some spooky occult artifact.

If you believe that demons can enter your home through a Ouija Board, then why not game consoles? Playing cards? D&D manuals? What unique property of Ouija Boards makes them conducive to demonic activity?
>>
>>17053962
I think it's more so the act of inviting an entity into your home using the board as a conduit. I imagine you can invite entities into your home via any object, imo. Like a mirror for instance. I think if you perform the right kind of ritual, if you will, with just about any object, you can bring any negative energy around in through it. Whatever that energy may be.

But you have one right here. Just hover your mouse over it.

>>17051943

How do you get rid of the one that's on your screen right now?
>>
>>17053962

If you understand how the ouija board works, a lot of spooky stuff starts to make sense too.

>playing cards

Sure. They would work too.

>D&D manuals

Sure. A bit over complicated.

>What unique property of Ouija Boards makes them conducive to demonic activity?

That would be giving it away, anon.
>>
So many of these responses are talking about negative energies being channeled. By that logic, could positive energy be used instead?
>>
>>17055049
(Needs citation)
>>
>>17053808
It has nothing to do with the board itself. You could literally use pen and paper. Its simple divination. Just because you don't understand something doesn't make it "magic".
>>
>>17053962
Nothing, they have no unique properties. Anything used with the intent of divination can be used for it. Even if you don't believe it i recommend investigating the mechanics of it, it doesn't rely on any "magic" object to make it work. Use a deck of playing cards from the dollar store if you want, its not object specific.
>>
>>17055321
Yes, it depends upon intent. But its not something to mess with unless you know exactly what you're doing. Its more or less a form of divination.
>>
>>17055597
Is it naturally just automatically negative spirits? Is it a 50/50 chance? The majority of living people wouldn't really cause me harm given the opportunity, so is there simply the chance of getting a ghost who is a dick? Or are ghosts that respond to things like this typically just the mean ones?

Spirities are like people.
You use Oujia as a telephone, and it belongs to you how you make this call-you can entertain your spirit, make it curious, and speak with you,or just make it angry by spooking around.

And as ,,bad'' or ,,good" people they will react. Some will just have wtf, some will send you messages about getting that hellaouta of their number.

Just call random phone number and try asking the same questions.Works like that.

Almost all spirit board mythology literally comes from a successful marketing campaign. There is nothing supernatural about it. You're not communicating with spirits, demons, whatever. I have multiple spirit boards. I've purposely done everything you're "not supposed to do" with them. Nothing has ever fucking happened. It's supposed to be a cute little parlor game, and it's a pretty boring one at that. If you get one, prepare yourself for nothing to happen.
>>
>>17059133
So, what you're saying is, you set yourself up to fail...
You have to WANT and actively TRY to communicate
>>
>>17059141
I do want and actively try to communicate.

I've also purposely done things you're not supposed to do on separate occasions.

If spirit boards are such serious business, why is it that my mindset affects it so much? It's ok to fuck with demons as long as you set yourself up to fail?

No, they is nothing about them that is in any way supernatural or allows you to communicate with anything supernatural.
>>
>>17059102
Il play with you :D
>>
Spirit boards and those that experience "strange" things with them are actually examples of subconcious motor movements within your hands and arms.

There is literally nothing paranormal about them.

However, you could view the messages therein as examples of your subconscious trying to tell you something.
>>
>>17059149
The demons say it's certain blood type that they can communicate with, I don't think you're of that type.
>>
>>17059580
Ah damn. Who can keep up with all these rules?
>>
>>17059149
The place has to be haunted for it to work.
>>
>>17058454
>Its the intent of your heart and want of your soul that allows these things in

But nobody intends to invite a demon into their home. Nobody buys a Ouija Board thinking "oh man, I can't wait to summon a demon!" How could their intent possibly be at fault?
>>
>>17060927
>But nobody intends to invite a demon into their home.
That's not necessarily the point. You don't get to pick and choose which spirit you contact. It could range from Satan himself to your guardian angel (maybe even God, I don't know). Anon >>17058454 was trying to illustrate the fact that spirits are less prone to contacting non-believers.
>>
>>17061132
so is it like a phone call that randomly dials a number?
>>
>>17061152

My best friend told me about some board his parents used with their friends, i dont know if its this ouija or not. But what he told me was really interesting and i believe it , maiinly because his dad told me. He is like your typical communism raised worker guy, so he doesnt believe in anything literally, but he attended some sessions they did and got spooked. Friends mom got the board from some gypsy classmate back in high school. Unfortunately we cant try it yet, because the board had a small book/notebook with some instructions and my friennd cant find it (he thinks dad hide it, because je got really fed up with that shit). Also friends house is pretty much fucked up because weird shit happens there all the time, and not just them but the neighbors too. Gopefully we can try it soon
>>
>>17074088
Define "trouble". If you do something on someone's property that the owner doesn't want to, chances are the answer is yes.
>>
>>17074088
Public property like a park? Tell them to FOAD; as long as you're not causing a disturbance or vandalizing you should be fine. (USA laws).

Note, that's "should." Some cops are just assholes or could freak out and might make you go away whether they should or not. Best to keep the overall mindset/culture of the specific town in mind.
>>
You all here claim to be "shkeptical" or "ouja board is just a board game" shit. BUT! If you all were REALLY into paranormal researches - you would say the same about mirrors? Eh? It's just sand burnt in really high temperatures! Duh!

OF COURSE NOT.

Anything has its' reasons to exist and symbolizes something. Mirror is a portal. Ouija board is a connector. An alphabet, a radio, a communicator you might say. You can use playing cards to show future and connect with evil spirits (Because playing cards, at least in Slavic mythology, are connected with evil spirits and spirits of dead sinners). SO - NO, OUIJA IS NOT BULLSHIT. There are just a lot more effective methods to summon/speak to dead people.
>>
>>17074938
This guy fucking GETS IT.

A ritual I've wanted to try for a while is Hide and Seek Alone.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlODkjpupaU
