What does /x/ think about this movie?
First time I watched it, many years ago I was all, Yuck this is just wackiness to be wacky, Not Impressed. Dunno why but a month or two ago I thought, what the hell watch it again. I really liked it this time, found it very amusing if a bit heavy handed at times, but enjoyed it. Liked the Marseilles deck explanation/tie in the most.
So my conclusion: You're either ready for it or not.
I liked the ending.
It was literally just telling you not to waste time searching for shit that ain't there.
Supposedly they had wanted to film a live birth for the ending scene.
I like it. It freaks people out. I showed it to a kid on mescaline. He started puking.

I took it more as saying, "Make your own reality, you don't need a master."
I was on acid when I saw it, shit was nuts.
I thought I was watching a trippy version of history of Jesus returning to heaven and the Alchemist was god.
Pretty good experience, this one and El Topo.

The best thing I heard about this film to sort of explain the visuals and feeling of it is it is like watching a film from an alternate dimension or like watching a film made by aliens imitating human films.

I got high on MDMA yesturday and during the landing I watched it... It was very weird and I didn't watch all of it because I got disgusted by the process of turning poo in gold.
Shit was fucking crazy. Too much.
its a long and hard movie to watch. symbolism and esoteric stuff was intresting and very drawn out. ending was godly that its just a movie n we are the gods sitting on the holy mountain or some shit. too confusings to understand
