Well /x/, it's Halloween again, which means for the third year running it's time for me to upload my collection. We'll start off the night with the main event and largest drop in terms of content, the text folder. It contains, among other things, 62 un-screencapped stories and nearly 4,000 Nope stories of various categories, up around 800 from last year.

As the night goes on there'll be further uploads, such as screencapped stories, full books, images, and music. Happy Halloween, /x/.

You crazy goddamn bastard. I admire your dedication. I'm kind of like that, but having had various computers die on me the last few years, I've lost a lot of shit. Maybe I can recover some this way.

sorry, I can not remember the year it was gifted to Anons, it was bought at a high price auction, I think southebys(sp?) It consisted of a group of photos, well i can't remember them all...but it was a very interesting set. He claimed they were originals. If i remember right, in that thread he posted the auction, the amount spent etc etc.

I lost a lot of the good stuff from /x/ awhile back and am trying to rebuild.
-thanks anon if you are out there and have it.

In trying to be economical with regards to file size, I haven't uploaded the video section of the collection, but this is one that I really want to give more attention. It's an excellent psychological horror short.

Anyone remember this books? Recently I remembered it from 2nd grade and just had to order it. It came from a library that was going to trash it, almost feels like an adoption. Anyway, once I'm done getting the file size down I'll be uploading it, along with some other books.

Nope General 2 [40]

If it wasn't for my little sister remembering this too...

>Night my grandfather died
>Sick, cancer. He smoked, worked on a nuclear sub, wasn't lung cancer but they said the radiation was culprit
>Standard downward spiral (first family 'rotting' death so at the time was jarring)
>He comes back (didn't know this happened before death) and seemed chipper, happy.
>me and little sister yay, go upstairs to play space quest on old computer.
>Dad comes up, it's time to say goodbye
>Many tears, standard so far.

Later that night.

>Family talking of plans, people here for grandpa.
>Feel an odd importance coming from ajar basement door.
>Open it up, stairwell with shelves on the right, board games and vinyls.
>On top, pink book. Can't remember title. All about hexes, rituals, softcover. Howto's with chants and everything. From simple to extensive.
>Find bottles with numbered labels and odd powder in them, some like splintered granules. Also one bottle with three tiny animal skulls with no teeth or lower jaw
>Theheck.jpg
>Little sister comes to check on me, sees me sitting on stair with bottles, show her book and where I found it. All in easy access to the door.
>She takes book, and we move down to pool table. She finds book has some scary rituals, things involving sickness, and failure to heal.
>Stupid kids. Find one for luck, just to try. Has a chant and she did something with water. We try it, get dice out of monopoly. Has me call a number as she rolls, and rolls the number each time.
>Die goes flying off table off one roll, ricochets somewhere by furnace, gone...
>We're both pale.
>Hide the book in monopoly, say nothing

We spend the night in the house comforting grandma, but we share glances to the basement...

Cont...
>>
>>15419221
Next morning, before sun rises we're both up. We talk about it and decide to go back down.

>Holy... , basement is torn to shreds. Like someone turned it inside out.
>Broken vinyls, laundry all over, old childhood toys taken out of boxes, boxes stacked on pool table. Find broken glass on cement and only trace of anything is what I thought was a broken piece of one of the skulls.
>Every board game except monopoly and hi ho cherrio is in pieces (only two left in house now), cardboard flattened.
>We open monopoly, book is gone.
>nope out of there, poker face everyone, say nothing about mess.

Next time we're visiting, we talk to my brother and his girlfriend down there. His girlfriend finds it all exciting, but the three grandkids are just grim. My brother lays accusation about grandmother, nothing but suspicion.

But, the basement was just wrecked. And no one ever asked us what happened down there, or commented on it whatsoever.

I've thought long and hard about it, and I keep thinking it was a dream. Yet my little sister remembers it, every detail. My brother remembers us asking about it. And still the only two games in the house are those two.

I honestly don't know what to think.

I guess I could contribute some OC. It may be boring and well known, but I wanted to type it up in case someone has not heard of it.

Rezső Seress was a very depressed panist that had just been left by his beloved. The following sunday while he was composibg by the piano he wrote a melody that was based purely on the depressing reality that he perceived. He called his work "Gloomy sunday". The song can be found here: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PIOat9w8Mtk
The song has later become well-known and has had many re recordings. But at the time when the original melody was released in Hungary, 1933, a string of suicides followed. It was believed that listening to the song would allow one to feel Seress' feelings during the time at which he wrote it. The Hungarians already stricken with grief and misfortune were thought not to be able to handle Seress' pain. It was later banned but in these modern times it can be found as originaly recorded in 1933. Listen to the tune at your own risk. I myself have bipolar disorder and I had a depressive episode after hearing the song. I cannot say it was because of the tune, but it was the first episode in many years. And by far the worst I have had.

Hey, I'm wondering if ny of you could help me find a video i've been looking for. I remember seeing it on the internet some years ago. It was about a sorta treasure hunt based on some medievil tale (I believe it was the pardoner's tale). Anyway there was a young guy who tried to find the treasure (it was like a million pounds or something) and who vlogged about the places he went and the clues he gathered. Then there was another British guy who narrated the story. This might be a pretty vauge description, but I know some of you must have seen it.

around the back of the house was the cemetery pictured here. most of the graves were from the same era, 1830s up to about the 1860s. many were illegible and I was definitely weirded out in the moment. Wow, thanks guys! I just checked MF and found that the text folder has 550 downloads. This is BY FAR the most successful year yet. Also, it looks like there's a couple of large threads that I didn't notice, so building for next year is already off to a pretty good start.
