A caged creature, ugly with long limbs stretched thin in the middle of these limbs like when you pull bubblegum apart, wispy almost bald hair on its head and depressingly ugly, starving and with no lower jaw but a hanging tongue. Hits hands claw around the bars of the cage and It tilts its head upward as if looking up towards you but you can see in its sad tearful wounded eyes the innocence of an abused and beaten child

I once dreamt of a thing that looked like a cross between a scraggly, mangy rat-like werewolf (like the one from Harry Potter movie), an ugly spider and a... let's say, a "boogeyman" of sorts.
It was tall, covered in short bristly hair (all in smooth black color), with disproportionately long and crooked limbs. The forelimbs were really long, and also had very, very long black fingers with equally long talons, and just as black. It almost looked like the talons were not actual claws, but each one was an extention of a finger, as if this thing just had long sharp-pointed digits.
It had ugly bushy ears, too big and pointy for its short head, and almost entirely BARE, absolutely hairless face with extremely pale skin. Its unsettingly wide mouth looked almost like that of a human, or more like, a morbid mockery of a human smile - black lips seemed stiffened forever in an ugly parody of animalistic grin, exposing dirty or maybe, slightly rotten teeth. And it had BIG, ROUND and ENTIRELY WHITE EYES, though it didn't seem it was blind.
It moved in weird ways, sometimes just crawling awkwardly, sometimes darting around like an insect. And it was constantly telling me (telepathically I guess): "I'm your true self hidden under your skin, let me become one with you!", as it walked in circles around me, occasionally making strange clicking insect-like noises or gurgling guttural grunts. And it fucking repeated again and again - "You and me are the same thing! Let's become whole!"
Well, in short it looked kinda like picrelated, but obviously had way more canine/anthro features, and had an actual face instead of a skull. And talons, those goddamn talon-like fingers, which it kept rigidly fanned out... this creature was a fucking nightmare fuel.

I made this painting/drawing after having this recurring dream of being trapped on a sandbar inside a cathedral sized cavern deep underground that's completely filled with water. It's a subterranean lake with no visible exists.
Gigantic, grotesque heads are stationed at various locations in the lake. I can't tell if they are stone monuments or living things.
How deep is this water? Are these monuments just sculpted heads mounted on pedestals just below the water's surface? Or, are they fully complete anatomical figures standing in water that's hundreds of feet deep? Sometimes they seem to twitch or move slightly. It could be my mind playing tricks on me. Either way, I'm trapped here with no apparent means of escape.
After I made this painting, the dreams stopped.
