Okay /x/, this is my first time here. I got a question.
For a little less than a year now I wake up twice every fucking morning. As in I feel as if I wake up once into a different situation (my bed is still in the other room that used to be my bedroom for example) for a split second before waking up a second time into what I would expect. This is not spoopy in any way, it's just damn irritating since I normally never remember my dreams and this is happening every single fucking day, no matter where I sleep, when I sleep or any other outside factors.
Am I going crazy? Do you have an explanation? This shit is weird af.

It's called false awakening, you mong:

You can now delete the thread.
If you haven't heard of lucid dreaming, it'd suggest looking it up. Shit's interesting either way.

Thanks for that faggot, but it doesn't cover it.
I don't do any morning stuff or such, I literally just get a split second of images every time. I literally just open my eyes twice in a row with no activites past that happening the first time around.

Just looked it up. Thanks for that.
But the few pages I've looked at now say that this needs to be trained. I didn't train myself in that and I don't remember my dreams if I even have any apart from this.

Still a false awakening, dumb cunt

Okay, so how do I stop it?

Don't know, there may be something wrong with your brain or your sleep patterns. Have you considered consulting a psychiatrist?

If it persists, yeah. It's tiring to be honest because I wake up every morning with a shock.
Any idea on what can cause this? I'm 30 years old, there shouldn't be big changes happening to my brain anymore.

>Too little or too much sleep.
>Disturbed sleep (sleep apnea, loud background sounds, etc.)
>Stress and anxiety
>Epilepsy
>Psychosis (schizophrenia, etc.)
Among other things

Welp, thanks for the help. Will check out Lucid dreaming a bit more and check if I can get a psychiatrist to check me out sometime soon.
