I don't know what dog men or face eaters are, but here's my only spoopy story.
>Be 7 years old
>Parents out for the night
>Grandma is baby sitting
>I stay in my parents queen size bed watching TV
>Look away from TV and see something
>Its a very tall, pitch black, lanky figure
>I looked at in the exact moment it walks by the doorway and out of view
>It turned it's head to look at me for the few seconds it was visible
>It had no face, no features, just black void
>Immediately hop out of bed to see where it went
>Nothing
>Tell grandma
>She seems mostly unphased
Yea, that's it. Saw a giant walking shadow. It was all really quick too. Maybe 2-4 seconds in length. I didn't feel immense horror when I saw it like most people describe when witnessing the paranormal, I was just like "wat da fuk is dat?"

Have you ever read or heard anything about shadow people? I've read creepy pastas... and erowid trip reports including them. I saw something similar a lot later in life, but I was 18 and strung out on several different stimulants and sleep deprived for 56 hours...

yeah, i've looked into it a bit. it's been a while though so i don't remember most of it. astonishing legends had a pretty good podcast about them and i've read/listened to a lot of stories involving them. it seems like most sightings have to do with sleep paralysis, but the ones that don't are pretty spooky

I only remember two of the dreams. But both times just a black silhouette walked slowly towards me or me and my family, from the open pitch black door to the garage.
Don't remember anything other than it walking towards me.
This was before I had ever heard of shadow people.

mine peaked into my room in the first dream, fell off the stairs at a friends house in the second, and watched me from behind the trees at my house with a red mark from falling down the stairs in the third. these were the most vivid dreams i've ever had in my life
OP I'm not sure how that creepy pasta applies to face eaters. According to Native American lore, face eaters are a type of canid that likes to rip your face off as a mode of attack. Decapitation is also common.
Although I've heard the Waheela blamed, I recently watched an episode of Dogman Encounters that the lady said it was more likely the face eaters.
