Happened to me a couple of months ago:
>live in a suburban area
>decide to go jogging because I want to get fit again
>very late at night because of my fucked up sleeping habits
>beautiful night, starry sky and everything was quiet
>weirdly quiet, normally I'd hear birds singing etc. because it was spring
>cant even hear any cars anywhere, it was like the whole world was empty
>think nothing of it, thought it was just cool
>put on my headphones and start listening to my playlist on Spotify
>after about 20 minutes of running, it starts to get foggy
>nights are usually foggy where I live, so not a big deal
>music kept cutting and stopping constantly because of shit headphones
>I take headphones off, run in silence past some fenced neighborhood
>then I hear something coming from the nearby neighborhood
>something that sounded like a mix of an owl and a chimp
>sounded really weird and almost robotic, nothing like any animal I've ever heard
>I'm not superstitious at all, but I'm getting kinda creeped out
>start running faster, hoping to get home as soon as possible
>hear nothing but silence for a while, start wondering if I just imagined the voice
>then I hear it again
>but this time the voice was closer, and louder
>start getting really creeped out
>practically sprinting home at this point
>hear the voice a few more times, feels like something is following me
>finally manage to get home, closing the door behind me had never felt better

>almost have a panic attack, I rush to lock all my doors and windows

>I peek out of the window, but it's too dark to see anything besides intense darkness
>keep staring at my back yard for a while
>and I swear, I saw something moving there
>scared shitless, I closed the curtains
>spent rest of the night hugging my dog in the corner of my living room
Nothing special really happened after that. I heard the owl-monkey thing a couple more times, but I guess whatever was in my backyard got bored pretty quickly and went away. I checked my backyard the following day, but it looked pretty much untouched.
I have never experienced anything like that ever before or since that night; what do you guys think it was? Have any of you had a similar experience?

I go on walks at night too and I've heard some shit like that down near the woods in my neighborhood
Something weird happening to me, everytime I go to sleep I start to hear noises, nothing supernatural, just hear some objects around going CLACK, but recently I realized that these sounds only happen once my eyes are closed, I can lie down for 30 minutes with eyes open and nothing, yet once eyes are closed, consistantly within 3 seconds... CLACK, havent slept for almost 3 days now because Im scared it might be something supernatural

Before the first wave of tardy defenders arrive, OP said very late at night and a starry sky. That means first light is not imminent, so I don't care about your story about how you once heard an early bird chirping even when the sky was mostly "dark".

So my 1.5 year old son was playing in a corner of the room while I was getting sleep, after a few minutes I got awake by his talking, he was playing alone just sitting there talking. So I look at him and started to talk to him, suddenly he stands up, extends his arm (like reaching something) and starts walking to the door saying: come come, more, more then stops right in the entrance and waives and says good bye, good bye. then turns around and come to me to keep playing.... I shat myself..
