I myself don't really have much experience with meditation.

Some years ago I meditated maybe 5 times and that's it.
2 of those times, I had an interesting experience: I felt waves of energy going through my body, like electricity. Felt really nice actually, but I don't know what it was and don't know how it happened.

I'm interested in starting to meditate on a regular basis now, just for the purpose of exploration.
Experience some interesting mind states etc.

Do you guys think a known system is best for this? Like buddhism and the jhana states?
I don't care about spiritual benefits like enlightenment though.

I meditate every day. I started doing it two months ago. So far i had only five moments were i felt a weird energy all over my body, its pretty cool.
