Hey /x/. Anyone have any info about these sounds that people are apparently hearing?

My mother brought it up to me. She claims to hear similar things at night up in Michigan. I'm in South Carolina and I can't recall hearing anything out of the ordinary at night. She claims to have talked to other people about it and they've heard it too. Is this an troll that I missed out on?

It talks about cannon-like noises being heard at night. I lived in New Jersey in 2015 and I don't think I ever heard any noises like that nor heard anything about it. This does appear to be a recent occurrence.

I live in Southern PA and I just heard some booming a few minutes ago. I figured it was just someone shooting a gun or firing off fireworks.
It's creepy when my window is closed though. It sounds like someone is tapping on my window.

It's not supernatual.
It's tannerite.

They said it sounds like a cannon. I could see large fireworks doing this, but fireworks are illegal in Jersey. Maybe a really big gun?
Don't be rude, answer the window.

Sounds from industrial facilities that carry for tens of miles at times given the right atmospheric conditions. Train cars connecting, industrial steam venting, ship cargo handling operations, etc. It happens all the time, every night, planet wide and has done so since the first time man made a BIG NOISE that was carried by favorable atmospheric conditions.

This is my favorite audio to sleep to. The groaning and humming stimulate a sense of mystery in me. My favorite clips are where the people hearing this noise are heard speaking to the camera, or interacting with each other. these sounds put me to sleep.
Does no one remember this being a "big deal" like 4 or 5 years ago? there was a blog dedicated to it that seems to have vanished, I still hear from time to time these sounds, not quite as dramatic as some of the videos but still. I even heard it like two weeks ago when I was up late at night and saved the time:
1:30AM
then
4:40AM
again

One of the comments on the video talked about something happening in 2011 and 2012 regarding this.

Looks like the blog posts go back to 2011 as well.

I accept that these noises are very probably normal, man-made occurrence, but they still interest me as a topic of discussion.
Sounds like trumpets being blown, now I'm not religious or anything but there is a story in the Bible which talks about this.
I'm sure this can be scientifically explained.

No its god
My mom heard it in ohio 3 weeks ago. I think its unlikely to be a neutron star unless we are getting hit with it all the time
most of these are either fake or not paranormal
The supposed trumpet/screech noises from back then all were mostly debunked.. In fact there were a lot of people making fake videos but using the exact same audio as other sky sound videos.. They would litteraly just tack the stolen sound clip into their video to try and spoop the internet
Debunk video on YouTube makes a good case saying it's a war of the world's monsters from the movie.
