Ok /x/, there was this thread called "7 creepiest wikipedia page", and as you might have guessed, one of these was Elisa Lam's one.
Reading through, I got to the point where it mentions the elevator ritual, and did some research, just for curiosity, and of course ran into a bunch of creepypastas and threads of people who claim they did it and nearly got insane.
I don't believe in this things, I'm VERY skeptical about this "ritual", I know there's no reason for it to work, but I'm curious: has any of you tried it?
>>17744731
Explain what you're talking about before you post it though.
>>17744734
Long story short: a girl named Elisa Lam was found dead in an hotel's water tank. Footage of her acting "strange" in an elevator emerged and some say she tried this "ritual" (actually she had a bipolar disorder and that was probablly the reason of her behavior).
The ritual itself says that if you go in a (at least) 10 story building and press a precise sequence of buttons in the elevator, at a certain point an entity disuised as a woman would enter. You must never look at or speak to this entity or you're fucked. At last you get to the 10th floor, but in another dimension: lights are off, the sky is red, and you can clarly see a "cross" in the distance. The woman would try to speak to you, but of course you cannot answer. After a while in this parallel dimension, things start to get weird and creepy (as if they weren't enough), and you really should go back, pressing another sequence of buttons in the elevator. People who claim they did this say they feel some kind of presence even when they go back in "our" dimension, or stuff like that.

First you need to have a mental disorder
Then go on vacation all by yourself
Then go off your meds
To top it off then stay at a creepy ass location. This is the only paranormal element I personally might be able to get behind as I do believe certain places and people put off some kind of energy that can fuck with people who are sensitive to that type of thing.

I'm really curious about this woman, who is she? or what is she?
>>17744868
Idk, in the instructions it says that if you talk to her or look at her she'll "keep you with her", in some stories I found it says she crucifixes the one she keeps or something like that. "She" appears as a woman in a long dress covered in dirt, with messy hair, purple, black circled eyes, pale skin, and other creepy details.
>>17744964
>tfw no crazy demon qt who wants to keep you forever on a crucifix
>>17744751
>you must never look or speak to the woman
That won't be a problem

But if you can't look at her, how does anyone know what she looks like.
Checkmate
>>17745074
Most of the ones who claim thay've seen her say that the experience fucked them up, like they could not sleep for days because they felt her presence, or faint in the parallel dimension to wake up in their house, stuff like that.
As I said, I don't believe in any of this stuff, I just wanted some kind of feedback by someone who actually did this and ended up going up and down with a lift without results, since I can't find anyone who did by searching the web
What if it proves were in a video game and that's an Easter egg?
I'd be so pissed at who ever is role playing me.

When did /x/ become this cuck self deprecating bullshit? I see tfw viring tfw no gf here and there, no wonder this fucking board has gone to fucking shit, all the cool people left.
>>17744751
Do they mention anything about her physical strength? My general response to living things that scare me is mostly flight or fight and you can't run inside an elevator
Would it help if I brought a crowbar?
>>17744751
The elevator ritual didn't start with Elisa Lam, it was around before that. When Elisa Lam happened, everyone was like "oh, she must have done the elevator ritual."
I tried the elevator ritual when it was being posted about a couple years ago and nothing happened. I posted under the trip Elisa'sDad, if anyone remembers.
I also wrote a short story based on the urban legend. It's in the /x philes ebook that was thrown together.
I really like this one.

IF this is real... How the fuck are you gonna kill the ghost/spirit lady with a fucking crowbar?
I dont get these creepypasta rituals. Why would anyone do them when you cant gain anything? Why would you risk everything for shits and gigles? Money, world domination enloghtenment i can get but just for spooks, why?

No but it's actually a cool idea, think about it.
Life is just simulation you're playing made by somebody else, and every little break from "reality" is the devs way of letting you know.
Easter eggs.

>I'm VERY skeptical

Yes OP, curious is what you are. Curious is asking others if they'd done it before you've done it yourself. Very, very curious of you, OP.
>>17749801
You've never heard of "fandeath"?
Koreans think that if you leave a fan on for too long, say, overnight while sleeping, it'll suck all the oxygen out of the air and suffocate you.

Was there any merit to this post? I didn't gain anything from reading it.

I'm sitting in a hotel bar with 30 stories. S-should I try it?
>>17750197
If you can snag a time when the elevators are free, yes.
>>17750197
yes and make sure to do it at night while everyone is asleep so no one is on
>>17749889
It's a cool idea in the same way that there being a god is a cool idea; people like the idea that everything is *actually* intentional and in control.
I think it's a much cooler idea that shit just is the way it is, there's no reason for anything, only cause and effect.

Shush you fucking tart. Cuck? Stop letting memes define your view of the world.
>>17750197
Go for it and report back your experience.. if you make it back. I'll try it too next time I'm in a 10+ building with an elevator. It just seems ridiculous doing all the steps just for it not to work. Just imagine watching the security cam vid of some random guy facing the wall and going up and down different floors, sometimes even going back to the same floor. And what if some random girl walks in on your bullshit at the last floor, you would assume it's the creepy girl in the dress but that other person would just see some beta cuck pissing himself and shaking out of fear against the wall, completely ignoring person, who is probably more freaked out by some lunatic in an elevator.
>>17750541

Am other anon. Can confirm am cucktart.

>freaked out by some lunatic in an elevator
Only lunatics use elevators. Everyone has passenger anxiety when they open the doors and it turns out it's not empty in there.
theyre portals
they have a profound occult meaning
and purpose....
>>17750197
did you do it?
>>17749963

I have tried the elevator ritual and it did not work as the instructions said it would. there was no girl. and the elevator did not start going back to the 10th floor. 0/10 would not recommend

Because people are stupid and don't want to do some type of physical activity that would give them the same type of adrenaline rush.
Man I would try it if I could.
No wait, I'm not retarded.
