Ehh.. for the sake of "You Know My Name" I'll put my opinion this way: I prefer Poets version *as a song* (like, on my playlists) while I prefer Chris Cornell's version *as a James Bond song* (as in, the title sequence, and samples used as BGM in the film - i.e. for its primary intended purpose).
I will say Chris Cornell did a fucking awesome job at crafting a completely new James Bond song, though. I honestly wish they'd've used samples of You Know My Name as Daniel Craig's Bond BGM theme in the films, which is sort of what Chris was hoping for, apparently.
That said, I am entirely unfamiliar with any of Chris Cornell or Poets of the Fall's works besides this song.
