It's not really a huge problem if the weapon runs, but usually being undergassed is a sign of possible reliability issues. Also note that I'm not any kind of an expert on AUGs, so the ejection pattern could be completely normal; however, I watched some videos and it seemed that in them the weapon was throwing brass out with a lot more authority.
Three solutions:
>If it's not a problem, don't fix it (I'd recommend testing a bit before just letting it be if you would be depending on the weapon in any hypothetical situation)
>Increase the amount of energy in the action (by using hotter brass or tuning the gas system)
>Reduce the amount of energy to overcome in the action (switcing to a lighter recoil spring)

The grains listed on ammo packages almost universally refers to the weight of the bullet, not the amount of powder used.

So I took a look online and it seems there are three settings for the AUG: normal condition, overgas for fouled conditions, and a closed position for rifle grenades.
My friend and my AUGs both sling brass at the 3-4 o clock and YouTube videos of the A3 show brass slinging the same. I think this is normal operation.

That's rifles/shotguns. you pull those in, so the recoil force is immediately working to overcome body weight, and not being given time to develop much velocity (which equals pain).
Pistols generally are held in weaver stance or isosceles, which are a good bit from the body.

No. Soft armor works by having very strong threads that act like a catcher's mitt (one that degrades with each hit). Hard plate works by being harder than the bullet, and also dispersing the impact over the entire plate.
