The genre is what you hear on the record, not that they add a performance on stage. Sure,
you hear some J-pop elements mixed under the Metal, and Oh god save us all, the lead singer is female. Kawaii Metal is a "new" (6 years old) sub-genre of Metal and clearly no "pure" Metal (Whatever the hell that is), but it's not less Metal than Norwegian Death Metal or Goth Metal.
Sure, you can ignore that and tell yourself whatever you can come up with to live the illusion that this development did not happen. Meanwhile, The fans, Metal Awards, other Metal Bands as well as Metal festival audiences will continue to enjoy Kawaii Metal, and there is not a single way how you can talk that away or make anyone care for you agenda, which is just about how you chose to deal with the world around you changing.
I wish you good luck of you path towards nowhere, buy hey - not my cup of tea how others chose to make the time pass.

Despite the fact that having younger females in a band doesn't make it a girl group (Does that mean if a bearded guy with tattoos is playing the piano, we have to call it a rock band because only old ladies play classical music? ) wtf has the formation of the band members to do with the genre or used instruments?
By your logic there is also a difference of music genre when the signer of a band plays an instrument at the same time, when the band is wearing masks, if a band is not writing the songs themselves or when it has a bigger number of members (like 9 members in Slipknot).
Is the addition of a choreography when performing live really that mind blowing to you that you have to go bananas?
