Tendency now is to have an episode or two that links into the next series - well, Wizard had a little two-episode thing that introduced Gaim, and Drive's two-episode thing had Ghost's gimmick as a central thing.

This might very well be the reason why, most people i see getting into toku are already into weeb things like anime, and Fourze is a lot like an anime with a school setting to boot. also Fourze is fun as hell so i think it's good.

I guess it's all about the individual person. Kuuga is easily my favorite, and I love me some Blade. Then Hibiki and Kabuto are up there too.
While I enjoyed watching Fourze I don't think I will ever rewatch it. It didn't bring anything to the table other than being fairly light hearted.

A couple of things about Hibiki:
-Most battles aren't the Riders performing a big elaborate musical number to beat the monster of the week.
-Hibiki (at first) doesn't have a bike- he can barely even drive at all.
-Around episode 30, the executive meddling begins: the producer and writers change (eventually forcing the ending to be changed while they were filming it), the OP changes from a pure instrumental (with multiple variations) to a more 'traditional' song, etc.
