MAD is the japanese/niconicovideo term for this stuff.
Both are the same thing, but japs seem to put more effort.

IMO they're not very good at all anymore. It's obvious he really doesn't like making them anymore, and he' said many times in other videos offhandedly that he's burnt out. Hell, even in his Mega Man episode he seems to be hinting at wanting to stop them for awhile.
If I had to guess, he probably still makes them to keep bread on the table since his other videos only get a fraction of the views (which is still a decent amount, FWIW)
Then again, a lot of people still like them, so maybe I'm just blinded by the good old days.

he got over taken by other people like jontron who even stole some of his jokes but he says hes inspired by avgn so i guess its alright.. its just a shame he never achieved anything and then the avgn movie took away so much of his time from making anything and i heard that movie sucked and pretty much became a nail in his coffin
