They're not fighting yet. To keep the stealth fast paced, the AI has always had a narrow (but long-range) vision cone when relaxed, and they are basically deaf to everything but gunfire and explosives. Their vision cone gets wider as they get more alerted and go into search mode.

Actually this is common for Consoles system AI.
And sadly this dumb system is very often ported to PC games.
Its not only about vision of enemies but whole background system written to help Player survive in quick scenarios like this on Consoles that use controller that no matter how good you are will never be as fast and precise as mouse+keyboard.
And all that system consist of really annoying unbalanced health system(one shoot to kill enemy/atomic bomb to kill player +regeneration), auto-aiming, level design and that dumb AI that is written like this: "stand here and wait until player kill you".
And most annoying is scripting every possible situation, especially never-ending swarm of enemies until you reach some point on map to turn it off.
Not to mention that quick events that consoles give us like some sort of disease.
I still remember games like CoD 2 or Crysis 2 that fucked up PC games so much that after that every PC games feel today like it was port from dumb console.

Learn to adapt. Third person shooters feel better anyway when you can control the character using a joystick. It lets you move in any direction all 360 degrees without need of the mouse/right stick. Controller is also superior for driving games like GTA because you can actually ease on the accelerator and the brakes. With a keyboard its either the key is pressed or it is not.
Uncharted 4 lets you adjust the amount of aim-assist (it's in every console shooter) from 0 to 10 until you think it is fair, because everyone knows hitting enemies with zero assist is pretty clumsy and difficult with a controller.
When the AI is in patrol mode, they are sometimes easy to stealth combo like in that webm, but when they are in search mode they will spread out and clear areas by themselves and then come back and report to eachother. They still dont watch their own backs much because that would be no fun, but they often will be watching eachother based on the nature of the map. Anyway yeah they are not stupid, especially when you actually start fighting them and all those stealth constraints are lifted. They will flank the fuck out of you while others entrench across from you and grenade you; it reminds me of the AI in F.E.A.R.

I've played over 1000 hours WoW and I'm still going to give Legion a shot. I loved D2 and LoD back when it was released and still had fun with D3 despite all the backlash (though servers lagging on release stopped me from enjoying the higher difficulties)

If they had had any interest whatsoever in preserving the long-term health of their consoles, they would have given Bungie a few years off from the Halo-train (after releasing H2) to let them work on a new IP. THEN they should've had them start work on Halo 3. And after H3, let them work on whatever they want again. Then start Halo 4; rinse and repeat. If they just gave Bungie even a *little* creative freedom, they would still happily be working for Microsoft, being their exclusive ace-in-the-hole like Naughy Dog is for Sony. We would have several new and interesting xbox-exclusive IPs, and a lot fewer (but a lot higher quality) Halo games when they did come out.
Instead, however, they had Halo 3 made right after 2, and Bungie said "fuck this" because they were sick of remaking the same game year after year. Now xbox is just a poor man's version of a gaming PC that also gets console-only multiplats. PS4 won this console generation because there is no real reason to get an xbox when you already have a PC. There are basically no worthwhile xbone-exclusives, and it's all because of Microsoft's short-sighted 'sequel-sequel-sequel!' cash-grabs that ruined their relationship with good exclusive developers

He's talking about flow and transition; like how different /individual/ animations will blend together during gameplay. In U4, if you roll, pick up a gun on the ground and then immediately hide behind low cover (all in one quick motion), Nate will never stand upright at all (unless you do it too slow) just because each of those blended-together anims tells him to crouch down for a second. The pick-up-weapon anim has him reach for the handle of the gun and pick it up no matter where the gun is or how he is moving past it.
I myself am pretty impressed by how realistically his feet shuffle even when when he is moving, especially when at superhuman speed and during these blended postures. There is always some sliding when you melee fight because the two actors have to immediately be brought together to do the fight animations, but it is pretty cleverly hidden by the camera, which auto-zooms and orbits to hide sliding feet during the animations.
