I actually respect Mark more for putting effort into every interview and giving thoughtful answers. He said before in an old 70's interview that he appreciates the effort these studios go through to send him across the world for interviews, so he feels he should make their efforts worth it by being enthusiastic and giving genuine responses.
The "these questions are dumb, I don't wanna be here" attitude comes off as ungrateful and rude imo. I don't think Ford (at least back then) had that attitude, he was just genuinely shy and had social anxiety. I was a theatre major in college and I gotta say that if you aren't an actor, you don't want to be around them for prolonged periods of time. They're childish, loud, obnoxious, and worst of all incredibly talented and endearing so nobody believes you when you say that by large they're socially a bunch of twats.
Ford was clearly a set guy who was just too charismatic for his own good. He clearly never cared about interviews or the political implications of his roles. Pretty much. Apparently he mostly got offers to keep playing characters like that (young, naive, coming of age types) even when he was in his 30's, but he felt he was too old to do roles like that. I also think timing fucked him over. Even if he had stayed a youthful pretty boy, he wouldn't have gotten far in the definitive era (the 1980's) of ultra macho/plain men being the Hollywood ideal.

It's wildly inconsistent in quality, but it has arguably some of the best scenes in the whole series. I'd go so far as to say the Luke vs. Vader lightsaber duel in ROTJ is the best lightsaber duel in all the SW films. The one in ESB is great, but certain parts of it hasn't aged well (Vader tossing stuff at Luke with the Force and Luke falling down the shaft come to mind).

I know people in this thread are probably biased for a certain reason, but I enjoyed 6 and 7 around equally. 5 is my favourite for a reason I can't really point out, because I think 4 is just as good and more fun to watch in general because 5 is kind of a downer most of the time.
People saying the prequels are better than 6 are just retards though, I don't get how anyone could think that. I get there's a ton of people who kind of grew up with the prequels (I was pretty young when 1 came out too, actually), but nostalgia improves things, it doesn't make them good.
So yeah, it goes 4=5>6=7 for me. I love all of them actually and yeah, 6 definitely has great scenes, but overall the not-so-great ones hurt it too much for me to prefer it over 5 or 4 or even elevate them to the same position.
