I think we could share our 4chan css too to give the thread a little more of life. Here's mine, from scratch, 1st one, I think it is pretty ok. What do you think anons?
>>6606838
Saw it in another thread, I really like it.
>>6606840
Really apreciated man. It lakcs some details but they're SO specific I don't realyl want to fix it. Also, I don't want to use anything from JS, I like it just CSS.
Saving bump
Do any of you ever include rss feeds in your startpages? I tried looking into it a while ago but it seemed way above my level so I gave up on it.
I did this for the bookmarks but i dont now how to style it.
Any ideas?
Also the red and blue squares are my common used links.
>>6609800
well... There's a lot of links, so I'd start with trying to categorize them in some way, maybe one category per line, Increase the spacing between the lines and links as well. Changing the font is a must. It seems like your going for a dark theme so I don't really understand your choice of colors for the boxes, they don't fit. Try using other "dark" colors.
>>6609806
the colors were only to differentiate the squares now, i will change them and the font for sure
>>6605608
share the code?

>>6606838
Is there a github page for that css? I wanna steal it
Hi guys, someone know where i can find this starpage i want this so badly
>>6611900
You have to go to file:///C:/Users/Dang/Documents/Rice/HTML/Censored/index.htm
>>6611906
Thanks, i never mind that...
>>6610859
Nope, but now it is on my pastebin.

Also pape is pic related
I would be glad if someone goes a diferent color version of the same kind of gradient.
>>6612026
Thank you! But I ended up doing my own CSS. :)
>>6612049
Cool, great looking.
>>6612071
Thank you! :)

custom css on firefox

https://u.pomf.is/tvrpsk.gif
anyway here's mine
>>6613580
I'd change the color scheme myself, but design wise, it looks pretty good.
>>6613583
what would you recommend?
>>6613586
I personally prefer darker colors, but not too dark. For instance, this is my homepage. I really like the periodic table design you're going for though.
>>6613588
ah right, i did used to have a darker theme when i used to stay up late at night, but now i'm going for a pastel-ish theme since im in the sun most of the time now
>>6613592
Fair enough, although personally I would have gone for a more blue pastel color, but the way you themed it still looks really nice :)
>>6613592
Posting random command line output, it's very hacker! OMG!

Does anyone know how to get rid of the white border under the urlbar area? I'ts driving me insane. Using chromium if that matters
Hey guys I'm new to this and this sound like a retarded question, but when I download the page from github how do I make it so that it actually works correctly? If I just open the folder and open the html file it doesn't use the rest of the files that should be "linked" to it. Obviously I'm missing something, but could anyone be of help?
>>6614059
I'm assuming you're talking about startpages. Are you opening the index.html file?
>>6614088
yeah, its in the folder with everything else but it just doesnt work, ill show a screenshot
>>6612049
share css for 4chan pls :) it would look really good with breeze theme on my manjaro kde
>>6614814
thx senpai
>>6606838
don't have a startpage, so i'll just share my 4chan css as well
>>6614045
Switched to Firefox, because chromium doesn't like being customized. I like this much better. I may change/get rid of the clock though
>>6614904
Care to share your Firefox css?
>>6614908
Yup, here you go!
http://pastebin.com/DdfKk9Fs
>>6615042
Thank you!
>>6615107
No problemo, enjoy!
>>6615136
How did you change your new tab button color?
>>6615136
Here's how it looks with my homepage (I edited the css a little bit)
>>6615136
And here it is with my 4chan css.
How do I get the little image to show up in the tab again?
>>6615185
Maybe I'm being dumb, but wouldn't they reappear if you deleted the stuff under the HIDE FAVICON comment?
>>6615185
I figured it out. On the section that looks like this
.tab-icon-image {
opacity: 0.5 !important;
filter: grayscale(0.9);
-webkit-filter: brightness(50%);
-o-filter: brightness(50%);
-ms-filter: brightness(50%);
}
.tab-icon-image {
filter: grayscale(0.9) !important;
/*filter: hue-rotate(130deg) !important;*/
opacity: 0 !important;
}
Delete the whole second entry, and change the first one to look like this
.tab-icon-image {
margin-left: 20px !important;
}
so when you're done, that's all that should be under .tab-icon-image
>>6615487
I figured it out too
>>6611900
Share code of custom css please. I wanna steal it.
>>6615625
he's looking for it himself
>>6614880
I really like it. I tried to custom one alike a little time ago but it had some hover efects I had to quit and I was very lazy.
By the way, anybody who customized 4chan's CSS had some issues with OP being a little less wider than the rest of the posts?
>>6615178
I would reccommend you tone down the box shadow on the tabs a bit. I had it perfect for my setup, but because you're using a much lighter color, it sort of clashes
>>6615625
sorry i don't have the css code, but you can search in deviantart actully i have the custom css of mokocchi
>>6616995
This is not from Mokochi, this is from another anon. Style is Zairyou and he's a great anon.
https://github.com/commit-sudoku/zairyou
>>6617030
yeah bro i was talking about mokocchi css custom of firefox
you know what i don't understand, is this... for what reason are this
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/commit-sudoku/zairyou/master/dubs.png
>>6617056
It is for people who like the gets, that helps him to see it clearly I guess. You can deactivate them though.
hey guys, a little offtopic sorry but I imagined you know these stuff.
When I choose Tomorrow style on 4chan it resets to default theme after I reboot computer.
Any tips how to fix this? It works if I restart browser , the issue is after rebooting the system the settings are not saved locally i suppose...
I checked chrome settings, everything is by default and storing local content is allowed
hope you guys like it :^)
Can anyone point me in the right direction for information on the rss feeds used in these? I'm really unfamiliar with them so i'm not entirely sure how to edit them.
Couple of outright questions; Is it possible to limit it to one item from the sites feed (rather than say the last 5 posts, only show the latest)? And is it possible to have multiple feeds (as in from multiple websites) on the same output?
>>6618967
Another note; I'm using an edited version of tayumpee's startpage, with the scrolling rss feed When you first load the page and it scrolls all the way, it then resets and has to scroll across again before showing the rest. That happen to anyone else?

>>6604157
got a sauce for wallpaper OP?
Boring as shit, but works just fine. Might remove the search box though. Based off of (basically just this with a few tweaks) https://github.com/Truttix/AhriStartpage
>>6617606
i don't know how help you but why do you don't install stylish and later install a theme for 4chan... this can be long but have great modifications also you can install 4chanx as well
>>6620020
Yes, it is mine. Enjoy it.
>>6620599
someone have this wall clean?
>>6622043
Hi Anons. Thoughts on my homepage?
>>6622864
Try to edit the background to remove the Fullscreen Snip msg, also a theme for firefox can make it look a way better
>>6622997
Oh I didn't notice that full screen snip, its just from snipping tool not actually on the page. I tried using firefox themes a while ago but had some issues and haven't really bothered to try any since then.
>>6623562
userstyles and even deviantart have some nice themes for stylish on firefox, but even if you don't change it ur startpage looks usefull for me desu
As >>6622997 said, maybe you can try to edit your firefox theme. Moko has a great firefox theme on user styles, and if you're used to CSS you can just steal class' name and do your own.
>>6611900
oh, someone saved mh startpage !
I don't know if I still have the code tho
>>6613588
mind posting that startpage?
thanks anon
>>6626232
https://github.com/kevinarefunny/my-homepage
Newfriend here. I (like many others) am using Moko's firefox CSS, yet the font on the tabs doesn't change even though the provided font is installed. Instead it's some other shitty font.
Any ideas, bros? Thanks in advance.
>>6622864
Excellent. My Twisted World is also fantastic.
>>6606838
good idea
>>6626586
If you have a problem with a theme you can start a new thread on the style's page yo.
But with the font, not sure why it isn't working if you installed the Semibold version of Open Sans, might require a Firefox/PC restart for the font to load?
>>6627475
what css is that?
I mean the little icon's in the tab section.
I stole the fire.gif off the emporium
>>6627555
http://mokocchi.cf/rice
It's the Dropdown startpage.
The icons were emoji's, too bad they only look like that on W7.
bump it bitch
>>6627618
anybody had that wallpaper?
>>6628169
here you go
>>6625336
Can you try to search? Want to explore that code
>>6618967
Still wondering if anyone has any information on how to edit a rss display

This was actually pretty fun to make.
