League dumbed down the moba formula so they could appeal to a winder base of players and then cemented a formulaic way you needed to play in order to win, which was either exploited or complained about. HoN and dota both have flexibility that allows player's abilities to shine, rather than an understanding of a specific formula in order to win. That's why i don't play league. It's fine to play with friends or whatever, but it's not fun if you want to have your individual skills have a bigger impact on the game as a whole. Plus league lacks so many mechanics that other mobas have, which just takes away from the depth of the game and, again, makes individual skill less important.

I came for some Kael'thas papes but all I see is DOTA and LoL. Why no HotS? I don't play any of them so I'm just curious.

from what i hear, they took the gameplay that made mobas actually competitive and removed them entirely, like farming, exp splitting, leveling, itemization. Things that other mobas have that make them more competitive because of the skill and knowledge one needs to master it. It's probably a fun casual game, but that's not really what the moba community wants as a whole. most are elitist assholes who think they are the best player that has ever existed in the history of the game, and if they cant show that convincingly, they dont care for the game at all. so its more the community than the game itself.
