First of all: Glitch art and vaporwave are not mutually exclusive. The former is a pretty integral part of the latter in fact. Secondly: I do agree with you on that last part. You can usually tell how much effort and thought went into making a pape. Arguably though, many papes in these threads are "babbys first pape" and should be given some slack, and, where necessary, some constructive critique I believe.
Other than that I think it's up to the more experienced people here to lead by example.
Even though vaporwave breaks many conventions in very interesting ways, there are still basic principles regarding things like color, form, composition etc.
And I don't mean that there's only one "right" way of doing things. I mean that in mastering these principles you actually gain the understanding of how to manipulate them to convey something, be it harmony or discord, an idea or a feeling, something subjective or something universal, a place or a time...

That's great! I've been looking for late 80s/early-mid 90s car ads where the shot is always back or side lit so that late evening/sunset light reflects off of the wax job and sometimes a wet road.
