In what way does this look 80's other than there being a cup that says "I [love] 80's" in it? It doesn't have that creepy, ugly, unsettling 80's look to it.

Is the 80 supposed to be dark and creepy? thtas not the impression ive got, even rock was mostly positive like Kiss and the like.I didnt grew up in the 80's, just a question to someone from that or earlier period, was the 80's like the popularculture descruibes it today?
