Pictures that you can just stare at for hours. Almost like you fall in love with the picture. Pictures with strong emotions, but in a melancholic or psychedelic way.

I don't often collect anime-inspired wallpapers. However, every time this picture has my attention, it brings back a life I’ve almost forgotten. I know it’s only anime wallpaper, but it enlivens the sentimental identity that I can’t seem to leave out. It’s breathtaking. All of it. It’s a work of art I thought I could only hear in a dream. Yet, it exists right in front of my eyes.
It’s a simple concept that is nonetheless memorable: a lonely person staring out to the city lights surrounded by the night sky. She’s isolated from a place inhabited by countless people unaware of her existence. The scene is imprinted with human monuments, complementing the purity of its natural environment.
However, the most impressive part of this work I can remember clearly above the rest is the only character depicted in it. I can’t even see her face, but I just believe, of all the people she has ever encountered, there’s still a certain soul she misses the most. I’m certain her expression would be more heartfelt if she found that missing person in her life.
I know we’re not expected to clarify why certain wallpapers are heartfelt to us, but this a beautiful dream I never thought I could illustrate to people. I just wanted to share it with everyone.

Fuark, is that from The Tomorrow Series?

Definitely this one. I didn't notice at first, but the second time I saw it, I spent solid 10 min looking at the details and imagining all the history and feelings involved.
Things to look at: School bus, girl in school uniform, signs of interdicted area, etc

This is the cover for Blackmill's album 'Miracle'. I highly recommend it. It can serve you well as background music for looking at these as well. As I go through these, however, I listen to depressive suicidal black metal (DSBM).
>that feel
No idea if anyone will have the same feelings or passion evoked from my papes, but I'll post a few because you all are my friends.
>>6506140
Dostoyevsky's novels have a lot of his personal christian beliefs in them, for example in Crime & Punishment Sonya is held as a virtuous woman because of her christian values, she seeks salvation through Christ and believes that Raskolnikov's soul could be saved too with the help of God
I'm very sorry if I sound like a complete fucking faggot for saying this.
But is it just me, or do I cry whenever I see something truly beautiful? Many of these pictures are fascinating, and even some of them made me shed a few tears because I'm not able to live in a world that the image is giving.
I hope I'm not the only one.

I can feel you, although I don't exactly cry at these pictures I often find myself lost in my thoughts while looking at pictures like these. Sometimes I start to remember some of the more painful memories from my childhood, or the rare, happy ones. I find it being a good thing at least for me, since it reminds me that even though I'm stuck being in constant apathy and depression, there's still a glimmer of hope that one day I can still feel like I'm alive.

I find it oddly unsettling how much I find myself relating to this picture for reasons I can't explain.

This is beautiful and gives me a "humanity FUCK YEAH" feeling. Look at how we have mastered our environment. We can conquer any area while still living in balance with nature. This is an amazing image thanks for sharing.

Wow. I liked the pape, but what you wrote feels more "heartfelt" than any of the wallpapers here. Thank you for this, you beautiful, glorious faggot.

>The Myth of Sisyphos by Albert Camus
Although I'd recommend you read the whole book, you should at least take a look at this section of the book, its kind of on Dostoïevsky and religion in his works.

I’m usually not emotional collecting wallpapers: this is the exception. This picture encaptures a certain family tradition I hope will live on further from the borrowed time I have left. Out there in nature are forests surrounded by lakes, depicting the horizon disappear when nightfall sets in. There, at that moment, the Earth’s surface and the night sky are almost identical to each other.
My relatives and I once routinely visited these forests, waiting for the stars to appear above us, while watching the same luminance appear right beneath our feet. We would spend our nights counting stars: identifying famous constellations, mapping out stars, and listing ones of our own creations, as simple distractions to hide away from our destitution.
After a time, our routine stargazing turned to pretending the forest trees were shadowy human figures that cared to listen to our thoughts of wishing for an existence beyond our reach. I was always the odd person out, with few dreams and even fewer wishes. Still, there’s this peace of listening to people voice their dreams nearby.
I realize personal thoughts concerning wallpapers are out of the ordinary. However, I just wanted to describe to people why this wallpaper is heartfelt to me.
My current wallpaper :)
