The icons I'm using are called Space Potato and for some reason aren't on deviantart anymore (Their tokems', who also made glyphs).
They aren't actually monochrome (And the word you're looking for is grayscale), but I put a grayscale filter on them using Springtomize (Which I'm pretty sure is available in ios8 and maybe 9).
If you want me to upload them I can.
Not sure how I feel about it. Might make some adjustments to the wallpaper.

Setting the icons depends on what you're using. If that's a widget, you can allow overlapping widgets via Nova Launcher. Or easily replicate it with KLWP and just set the icons above normally.
Also possible to resize icons despite grid size.

Is it possible to use a gif as the background in KLWP? From what I've googled it seems like the closest thing I can do is set background images to cycle, but there've been posts in these threads with pretty neat animated backgrounds.
