Tulkas! He's my favorite Ainur and gets so little love. I've never seen art of him outside of the official books, though; this is awesome.

Feanor's last battle is my favorite scene in the Silmarillion
reading that feanor fought off dozens of Balrogs in a desolate, and hot landscape in the middle of a bloody war, and was finally taken down by Gothmog, lord of the balrogs, i actually had to stop reading and say "holy fucking shit" aloud

Game?
I read the entire Silmarillion in a heartbeat, but there was so much information that just went in and out of my head. All the names and characters and places, it was so difficult to remember any of it!
>>6411305
>All at once
holy shit howd you do that?
it took me like 5 months to read, re-read, and then re-read again just to absorb all of the info

Does anyone else feel that Boromir was just misunderstood when he was depicted in the movie? Most people I talk to about LOTR are just complete tards and they think Boromir was some crazy, evil traitor type guy.
>>6413138
yes

This image gives me more of a Rhadagast vibe
>>6401403
Who's the guy talking with Ulmo again? It's been years since I last read the Silmarillion
>>6414270
Could be Cirdan of the Falathrim, leader of the Teleri who stayed in middle earth on the coast during the sundering.
>>6414270
It was Hurin
>>6413138
I disagree. They went to lengths to depict him as noble but misguided. Even if you somehow missed the whole "the ring is evil and warps men's minds" thing it's shown he's a heroic if tragic character. Knowing nothing about the story prior the movie still got that point through to me and most people I've talked to. Maybe you're just surrounded by actual tards.
It's Tuor.
