I probably shouldn't even have replied because your desktop is trash.

However I don't need to use a keyboard since I can do everything by mouse, it's just slower unless I want to use one hand only of course

How did you edited your firefox style? I can only apply themes or do minor tweaks. Can I have a hand, please?
>>
>>6377866
use stylish, go on userstyles.org and search for firefox to find firefox CSS. moko is one as an example. To start off just grab one and edit values.
>>
>>6377866

>>6377974 is a noob and is setting you up for failure. What you want to do is install Stylish and use your inspector tool by right clicking and selecting "inspect element". Click on the gear icon on the right. Scroll down and select "enable browser chrome and add on debugging toolboxes" and "enable remote debugging". Close the inspector tool and then press Alt + Shift + I and confirm that you want to use it Explore the tool and get yourself familiar with it. Next, right click your Stylish icon and create a new style. Click on something you want to edit, it will highlight in your inspector tool, right click the highlighted text and copy the unique selector. Paste that to your Stylish tab that's open and play around with the values. If you need help, W3schools will give you some basic skills.

>setting you up for failure
I think you are anon.
>>6377866
If you don't know anything about CSS the best thing is to edit others themes and learn what different values do, then use a UI inspector.
>>
>>6377999
That doesn't make any sense, dude. If he doesn't know any CSS, why would you have him edit someone else's theme that most likely has shit missing or somewhere difficult to find? Editing a vanilla theme is straight forward.
>>
>>6378000
Nice trips, because editing a theme is obviously so much easier than starting from scratch, it's just a better way to learn.
>>
>>6378001
No it's not. What if he wants to change his UI icons and the theme he downloaded has them all hidden? To find the resource he wants to edit, he would have to sift through a bunch a useless uncoordinated bullshit. With the vanilla theme - it's just right there, easy to find and edit without doing a bunch of googling.
>>
>>6378003
>the theme he downloaded has them all hidden
You rarely come across that, I still think editing a preexisting theme is easier, if there are elements you don't know how to change, like for websites, editing someone's first can show you how.
>>
>>6378005
Actually, you come across it a lot. Especially with minimalist themes. And editing someone else's theme doesn't show you how to hide elements on a page. You can do that with the default inspector - all do you is click on something.

hi /wg/,

i have a question. after having a couple of updates from windows, my theme changed a bit. the upper part of the windows changed to the default one whereas everything else is still in the theme that i applied manually.

my theme had the back and forth button in a different shape and color and the folder-path was also transparent etc.

has anyone else noticed something like that? what do?

I already did, I followed >>6377974 advice and searched noko, I liked how it was and I put it on my colors.

But, I'm having a problem, asi you can see obviously my theme doesn't match my browser colors, and that's because I'm using pix_ light custom theme.

I tried 3 or 4 ways to get the same colo,r but pix_ has some kind of. . .filter? That doesn't make the same output with the same values. It is like darker, and that mess up the compo.

Someone know how can Iget through that "filter" to out put the same color?

Also, the newtab animation has a wierd delay after closing a tab. Someone had the same problem?
>>
>>6379498
Also, I forget. Yes, Ihave yet to work on 4chan's css and change my actual homepage. It was matching the previous theme but it took me lots of work so I'm kinda lazy to destroy it or trying something new.

Are you using ColorPicker to pick up the colors from your theme?

Well, you see. the RGB color of my browser is 60,50,61. But if I tri to put that values to my pix_ theme, it won't pop out that color, it will pop out another. I think it is because pix_ visual color standard is something black or darker. I am explainning to myself? English is not my 1st language.

ALL OF YOU. Your desktops imply that you don't need desktops. Go buy an arduino and run your 3 programs. None of you have anything that show your interests or your personalities other than "I can be like everyone else" for fucks sake.

And what's with all the Linux shit. Unless it's for development, work (as in server management security), or your computer is so shit you can't run win7, fucking use it. I swear to god if I get any shit about your "privacy"...
>>
Alright, now to rate the people that tried (or didn't) to make a decent desktop.

>>6377454
6/10 You got an extra point for having Steam running. Nice colors, would add a global font but that's really all I don't like.
>>6378053
3/10 You've got the right programs, so you're on the right track.
>>6378420
11/10 Whoops, that's the girl. You're desktop's a 2/10.
>>6378606
webm/10
>>6378665
3 programs, you must be running a Pentium with 512MB of memory. 512/4096
>>6378795
Firefox. Steam. Decent color scheme. Fonts aren't everywhere. Holy hell, nice job so far! 7/10
>>6378800
2/10 You should use Fences if you're not to hide those icons.
>>6378805
You can make Microsoft think you're running a vacuum cleaner's OS to make that icon go away. 1/10
>>6378824
Windows 7 is almost a god tier OS for gamers and college students. 3/10
>>6378833
6/10 Yawn.
>>6378843
9/10 Seriously, nice desktop. It's got new elements, a nice theme, and it's extremely usable.
>>6379032
Freebie Skip
>>6379172
8/10 Your score goes up 1 point if that task bar autohides to show off that sexy desktop.
>>6379498
Ugh, already used my freebie. Uh.. 4/10. Not much, I guess it's minimalist.
>>6379592
8/10 Wait, not THAT is minimalism.

>>6376380
I saved you for last, while your setup is 9/10. -1 for reposting while it's on /g/. -1 for... who am I kidding, even with that weed shit you've got a great setup.

I'm using or Personalize in Windows or a little exe called DWMMod or something like that, which lets me see the RGB values. I will share at home.

>>6379901
Well, I can try, but I don't know how that will help. I know the colors I'm trying to use (I mean, I put it there) but the Custom VS it is not showing it right.

Pic related is DWMColorMod. Is the same shit as personalize, but a little more concrete. Plus, I don't know how to edit with Visual. I can't make it work and I have a few months with it.
Also, my explorer is this color but because it is better to no be dark because of "properties" section, that becomes unreadable with daark themes.

>>6380477
I now that's my color, but I mean I have to put some values in the VS to get different ones.

>>6380649
bbZero 1.18-rc6. I mean, is with my colors, you only have to download and reach "bbStyleMaker". Really fun.

you need something much less noisy so you can focus on the previe images - something simple

remove the spinny eq thing, put those icons in explorer and move the "need a jacket" thing to top left corner.
also, your resolution seems a bit strange, have a look at that maybe
