The text on the second screen are the music controls and an RSS feed.
Working on it.
>>1893048
Make the eyes blink in klwp
>>1893048
how did you do the side icons?
FYI: Nova Launcher Prime on sale for $0.99 right now.
Anyone got that FLCL set up with canti and various info on his screen?
So I got KLWP+nova yesterday (pre-sale, god damn it) and have been learning/playing with it. fairly simple at the moment, I remade the "between" clock default because on long weather descriptions it completely broke the clock by squeezing everything in. (now it truncates).
I've hit a wall on icons though. I don't usually have a lot of them, But id like the main screen to have ones for phone and camera. just not sure how I should go about it.
Definitely counts as a rice
Did anyone save the original design?
The framerate is completely fucked for some reason, here's the original: https://sgfc.co/7oaJ0.mp4
(not a clone trust me guys)
Finally decided to change my wallpapers after using my old ones for a year.
Lockscreen on the left, homescreen on the right.
Reposting mine
How to animate stuff triggered by music player actions? Like when a component changes color based on the album art, is it possible to assign an animation when the color changes?
>>1893126
Really nice music
currently a work in progress. Any suggestions?
>>1893148
How did you get the 2 layered dock..?
Or are those icons....?
>>1893126
Yeah it's nice to see someone use my rice, FeelsGoodMan
>>1893049
I prefer static screens, animations smell like 2010 for me, but your idea is really good. I'll think about it.
>>1893059
I just placed them on homescreen from app drawer and then replaced the icons...
>>1893108
I don't like trendy frames around images, so I placed icons on the sides. Looks better than I expected.
I am really new to ricing and don't know what the fuck to do after this.
Trying to make something similar to

I couldn't get any of the multiple wallpaper apps to work, is that just a Nova launcher issue?

I like the animations, but I don't like the font you are using or the placement of the widget things. Maybe a lighter font?

here's a non-compressed version: https://a.pomf.cat/fxwaup.mp4
Everything made by Nova Launcher. Imo this looks great.
>>1893318
Are you sure you can see the icons? Specially in the player part, they get mixed with the background, not a critic, just curious.
>>1893227
I can get it, but it'd look better on just the right side rather than both sides.
>>1893115
Cool, but keep your stuff consistent. The vector on the second page is way too big (it nearly touches the borders) and the black text looks kinda out of place. I'd also move everything up so it's not so close to the buttons.
>>1893148
Really nice, great job with the colors and backgrounds. The battery being in different places on both screens is kinda odd though.
>>1893238
Person who made that here, and I'd say take it a step at a time. Figure out what you're aiming for (not just "I want it to look like this, but specifics. Like what you want easy access to, what sort of elements you'll use, and how you'll arrange them) and think through it critically. Right now it looks very messy and the text shadow isn't doing you any favors.
>>1893241
Not much to rate here.
>>1893243
Not bad, but I'd move the clock/date/weather block up a bit so it's not so close to his head.
>>1893317
>tfw people try to copy your rice
What an odd feeling. Anyhow your text is a bit too big I think in the top bar, make it a bit smaller so it doesn't look so cramped. Text shadows in the calendar are kinda wonky and the text for the events and weather is hard to make out, I'd dim the background more. There's also an odd amount of space between the events, and the alignment of the weather is finnicky. Music screen needs more variation, and keep your text spaced evenly between the album art and the rest of the screen. Also the app drawer is pretty nice but nigh unreadable, make its opacity a little higher so it stands out more. Not a bad copy/10
>>1893149
I like you
>>1893368
if I resized the vector on the second page, it would not line up with the one on the first page. Fair call on moving it up though.
Need advice for this
>>1893431
Make the app bar at the bottom bigger, I can barely see it.
>>1893035
OP this is weird. Every time I post my phone, it's in the next thread's OP image, and I've only changed my homescreen 4 times in 3 years.
>>1893431
You can breathe a lot of life into a homescreen with photoshop. Look at these: >>1893392 >>1893288 >>1893149 >>1893148
Very stunning looking wallpapers that are technically very simple (meaning you don't need to spend hours in UCCW or KLWP) Also personally I'd change the font

>>1893182

Just something I'm working on.
>>1893326
Now it looks quite better with darker wallpaper, thanks for advice.
>>1893497
7/10 I like the concept! Fitting font. Add more icons or make the existing ones bigger, looks uneven atm...
>>1893048
What icon pack? Animate the eyes.
>>1893078
2black4mysoul. Also very bland.
>>1893118
Throw it out, start again.
>>1893148
Nice one, pal.
>>1893182
Fuck the haters I like the colours. You need to use a bitmap font though. With pixel rice you go hard or go home.
>>1893238
Tone down the shadows, especially on the text. Find a better font for the widgets. Add icons. If you can't handle this give up on doing what's in the rice you linked.
>>1893241
Vertically center the text between the M and the icons.
>>1893243
Nice, maybe move the clock/weather widget up so it has more space above the hair and consider moving the widgets in the bottom right in a bit so they have more space to breath. What icon pack?
>>1893287
Re-do the clock widget, in Zooper if you've not got it already.
>>1893289
Make the shadow on the bar match the shadow on the fake windows.
>>1893317
Nice use of colours. Maybe make the font for the widgets at the top a few points smaller and maybe add a bit more blur behind the calendar shit so the white text doesn't clash slightly with the background. Also check you've got the icons centered vertically in the bottom bar.
>>1893318
If you think that looks great you need to reevaluate your understanding of greatness. The icons clash with the wallpaper in an ugly way. The icon pack is also ugly in and of itself and the placement is dull. The clock font is terrible and the music widget is poorly placed and needlessly difficult to see, why the fuck does it have a whole page to itself if it's going to be shoved up at the top in the middle of a cloud?
>>1893460
Not a fan of the icon placement, especially the claustrophobic grouping on the dock/bottom row. The thin font and the chunky icon pack don't seem to go great together.
>>1893497
Cute. Icon placement is uneven and that triggers my autism.
>>1893505
you had all that negative space and you still made the icons clash with the wallaper? Move them m8. Also that clock isn't great, change it.
Still working on this, I really appreciate all the feedback though!
I worked on it today, what do you think?
>>1893577
Looking pretty good
All I could think of changing is the battery display
Seems a bit uneven sitting like that
>>1893578
Alright m8 but it seems a little empty, what should I do then?
>>1893581
I dont think you should remove it
I would just try and make it fill the white space a bit more
>>1893582
Fixed. :^)
>>1893587
Cheeky
But thats a good fix
I really like it now.
>>1893587
Now the battery looks too far in the corner. Go back to how it was and just make it bigger, then add a circle around it that shows the batter level. Just to see what happens
Is there anyway to hide the home screen button right above the chrome/sidesync icon without using custom launchers?
>>1893591
How can I do that? I can make a circle but to show the battery level don't know

Are you the illya from hga by any chance
I change icons, but where should I place this watch and wifi, 4G, sound etc. bar? Any Ideas?
>>1893118
Looks similar to what I had, use an icon pack, get rid of the side blue outlines and it'll look great.
Need some recommends for font and advice.
>>1893554
I see what you're going for, but that font for the clock seems kind of hard to read. Also are you left handed or something?
>>1893654
>it's not anime related.
wow what are you some kind of loser?
>>1893609
The best I could do, but I don't like how the album is there.
Any widget or something to center the buttons? (I'm a massive newbie in all this, just started tomorrow)
>>1893648
Can't really give much in the way of fonts but sites like Google Fonts are great for finding new, sometimes open license fonts. As for advice, you've done a great job with the colors so far but I'd add a row of icons somewhere in the red bar or something.
>>1893657
Are you using KLWP? Otherwise I suppose you could make your own music player in UCCW or something similar...
Looks sorta weird having everything b&w except the middle button though, how does it look if you make that b&w as well? If you want it to stand out a bit you could just make it a bit larger :)
>>1893543
> What icon pack?
Material icons. It is not a pack, I've installed them manually. https://github.com/google/material-design-icons/
>>1893663
Finally! I did it.
>>1893627
Nice. Try spacing the icons a little farther apart. You can maybe even add another column on the left, or spread your clock widget. Also, space them father from the edges
>>1893648
You have alot of room to work with in the bar you have
>>1893673
One of my favorite songs and good waifu taste. The other ops and eds are also good. It looks like the am/pm widget might look too close when the minute changes to wider numbers, so try moving it to the right just a bit. Do you think the clock widget looks good like that or centered? Since you have a black line separating your bottom tray from your clock, maybe try adding a vertical white line to separate music player from right tray?
>>1893696
You really think the first one is nice?
At the end it looks completly, not like first one. I'm very glad from result!
>>1893037
Hi, awesome theme.
Could it be possible to share it?

New rice. What should I add/remove?
>>1893814
I think it's fine as it is. Great color choice. If you absolutely feel like it needs something, maybe add a thin battery bar under the clock widget but still within the box, and center it
Final edit. I'd change the icon colours but too much trouble for what it's worth.
Quick question, what do you guys use to record uncompressed webms
>>1893840
This is fine as it is. Good job
My phone still has Kit Kat
For the purposes of ricing, is there any reason to upgrade to Lollipop? Any nifty things I can do on Lollipop that were not possible before?
I'm afraid shit might break and some of the things I use will no longer work.
First time doing this, any font and/or better icon suggestions?
>>1893921
I'd make the icons bigger, as for the font I'm not to sure it's pretty good looking.
Anyone here know how to edit someone elses clock dimensions for UCCW?
I cant see the option for it like I do when I make my own clock.
I got one off of the store and it looks really nice but its just a bit high and I need to lower it a few pixels, but it just ends up going off the canvas and hiding itself.

Guys which icon pack I should use with this wallpaper also acept tips for a clock.
Will post results
>>1894092
You should make own clock in Zooper, i think that's the best idea. Imo icons should be light like: Whicons, /Min etc. Maybe I'm wrong.
I was trying to go for kind of an HUD feel, which I think came out pretty cool. Still might mess around with it a bit though.

Help plox.
I'm pretty new to ricing and currently reading up on stuff.
I decided that I want to use CyanogenMod and was now wondering if I should use the latest release (version 12.1) or the nightly (13).
>>1894117
Honestly, in terms of ricing, the decision is arbitrary because you'd be able to achieve the same results with either (or even just with a stock ROM). I would go with whichever is more stable, which would probably be 12.1 as it's based on Android 5.1.1, while 13 is based on 6.0.1. Stability just depends on what phone you have and how far the development is for it, so check out the threads on XDA and see what's up.
R8 ,also anyone know any good music widgets? I've seen a bunch in these threads but can never find them when I Google them
>>1894136
the reason you can't find them is because a lot of the stuff posted here are custom made using apps like KLWP, KWGT, UCCW, or Zooper
>>1894141
Really ? I have UCCW ,which one would be better for music widgets from your experience ,I like UCCW but I wanna try others too
>>1894144
to make a widget with uccw you need to also use media utilities, which last I checked doesn't work on 5.0+. So if you are on Lollipop or higher KLWP is the way you need to go.
Probably crap, but here goes. Criticize me with all you got.
>>1894061
good job anon. now lurk moar and gather ideas for your next project. and help other anons get better while your at it
>>1894230
It's crap. You can't just change your icons and call it a day.
>>1894230

>>1894230
You basically grew a cogon grass and called it a rice plant because you hope people will dictate what you want, then call yourself an idiot for not understanding them.
I need suggestions for this
>>1894260
Looks great but here's a couple of ideas: I would change the background from straight black to like a really dark grey just because it usually looks nicer in my experience. Also, you could add a bit more padding to the weather bar thing (to even out the top and bottom) and move it up a bit to make it euidistant from the date. Other than that I think it looks good!
>>1893048
Could anyone provide me with this wallpaper? I can't find it via reverse.
The image changes when tapped, as seen here -> https://a.pomf.cat/kawqsl.webm
-------------------------------------
>>1894088
Anon was making a point that the whole 'picture in a box on a blurred background' design has been around for a while. He's not just showing off how long he's been here.
>>1894061
The thin separation lines look ugly, sorry. Contrasting elements by using different colour tones and hues, for example, is much better than physical division by a line. The colours you've chosen also don't mesh well with the wallpaper you use. It's encouraging to see how much work you've put in, good job. Lurk moar and keep going.
>>1894108
>>1894109
Those icons don't really fit and the widget colours aren't great. The whole thing is a bit messy IMO.
>>1894117
Be sure of what benefits you get from using a custom ROM before you install one. It's not dangerous but it is a bit of a hassle and you 100% don't need one just to do ricing stuff.
>>1894136
Move the icons down so they're in that negative space and not clashing with the lighter bits of the background.
>>1894144
If you don't want to mess around with the live wallpaperness of KLWP then consider using KWGT (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.kustom.widget) as it has all the same customisation without needing to set up your stuff in a livewallpaper.
>>1894230
Throw it out and start again.
>>1894260
You don't need all that information. Only having a widget on your screen if you actually regularly use it is a good ethos to have. If you're going to keep them you should aim for consistency so make sure they're all using the same or very similar fonts (I'm looking at that digital clock font on the battery bar). Also do what the other anon said about the dark grey.
It's all well and good having a functional homescreen with lots of widgets but most of the time using the space for app icons is better and more functional.
>>1894439
>Those icons don't really fit and the widget colours aren't great. The whole thing is a bit messy IMO.
Yeah I thought the same thing so I reworked it a bit. I think this version is a bit more complete, but I'm still tweaking it. Trying to figure out how to make the layout stick out a bit more but any suggestions appreciated.
I'm thinking of getting an LG V10. I love everything about the phone EXCEPT the fact that it has no external call/home/back buttons like, for example, Samsung phones and instead uses software buttons which take up screen space.
Is there a way to hide the buttons so they don't show up on my screen WHILE I'm on my homescreen (I wouldn't really mind them in apps). Ricing is fairly important to me and those buttons usually ruin the minimal look of a rice to for me.
>>1894530
I might be wrong, but as far as I know you'd have to root to hide them.
>>1893288
Wallpaper tutorial guy here. I wasn't checking the previous thread, sorry. I absolutely love the wallpaper you made. I think it's better than my own.
>>1894540
All thanks to you man. I'd still have chihuahua pictures as a wallpaper if it weren't for you. Much love anon
>>1894439
What icon pack is that?
>>1894530
Look back a thread or two. Timma hooked a guy up in the same situation
>>1894530
If you use a custom launcher (I use Nova) there's a setting to hide home touch buttons in certain apps, and you can select the launcher as one of those apps, effectively hiding them on the home screen.
>>1894548
Demonstration. Doing this changes the vertical spacing of the home screen which really messed up my layout, but obviously if you designed your home screen around this, it wouldn't be a problem. This is just to show it's doable, so there's at least this way
>>1894551
>Does that work if you're not rooted?
Yup. Only thing is I don't think it'd work without a launcher.
>>1894552
I'm fine with using Nova (I use it anyway). Are you the guy in the OP image?
What happens when you need the buttons? Does your vertical spacing get fucked up again when they reappear?
Can I adjust the gestures so that it requires a more complex than usual gesture to toggle so that I don't accidentally make it show on the homescreen?
If I can basically force it to be hidden unless I need it using Nova without rooting then I'm pretty much sold on the phone.
How does my widget look ? I like it but I'm gonna experiment more to see what I can make
>>1894553
>What happens when you need the buttons?
You drag up from the bottom, so the same thing as pulling down the notification bar, you pull up the home buttons
>Does your vertical spacing get fucked up again when they reappear?
No. As far as I can tell, all that happened was Nova went "Okay, his home screen is still 8 "units" tall, but now the usable space is 2560 pixels instead of 2400" so it just made each "unit" a little taller. This seems to be the case, however it should be noted that the phone won't let you place shortcuts or widgets in the on-screen buttons area.
And no, nothing shifts position when the buttons are brought up, the shifting is only caused by Nova reevaluating my home screen's size.
>Can I adjust the gestures so that it requires a more complex than usual gesture to toggle
No, it can only be toggled by swiping up from the bottom. But touching the area doesn't do anything, it's only caused by a deliberate up-swipe
>>1894557
>the phone won't let you place shortcuts or widgets in the on-screen buttons area
Does that only apply when the buttons are showing or is it still restricted while they're hidden?
Basic rice because every time I add stuff it looks like shit.
>>1894558
Even though Nova thinks the whole screen is usable, it looks like the space where the buttons go is reserved, so it's not as if they leave the screen, they just become invisible, and stay inactive until they're visible again.
>>1894560
Well, that's okay I guess. The answer I got was more satisfactory than I though it would be.
By the way, how do you personally like the phone?
Thanks for the answers so far anon.
>>1894562
It's a pretty solid phone. I got it because it still has both expandable storage and a removable battery, which is becoming rare in flagship phones.
I thought the lack of a physical homescreen would suck but turns out you really don't need one at all. You double tap the screen to wake it up (or set up a knock pattern), and double tap the homescreen to lock it. effectively making physical buttons completely obsolete. Although, the volume buttons can be used for shortcuts. Even when it's locked, double tapping a volume button can open something. I use volume up to open google, and volume down opens the camera. The camera, by the way, is incredible. It takes amazingly sharp and clear pictures with super fast focusing, plus both picture and video mode have full manual controls that let you control ISO, white balance, shutter speed, focus point (for like super macro or scenery), and you can save pictures RAW.
Then of course there's the second screen, which, despite being the main selling gimmick, doesn't do much. When the screen is unlocked, I haven't found a good use for it at all. The only thing I use it for is checking the time, since the second screen is always on. You can see the time, your battery, and notifications without having to touch the phone at all, and swiping on the second screen brings up more shortcuts, the most notable being the flashlight
>>1894567
Yeah, the expandable storage and battery were what attracted me to it first. If they had separate home buttons it would complete the trifecta of good design choices, but 2/3 ain't bad. The reason I still like Samsung phones is that they're among the rare ones who still practice physical home buttons.
>RAW photos
holy shit I didn't know this, now I'm even more sold on it.
>>1894570
Also, I forgot to mention that it has a Hi-Fi 32bit DAC for music playback, and the phone supports up to 2TB of expandable storage. It's like LG didn't want to make a phone that took pictures and played music, they wanted to make one device that could be used as a phone, or a camera, or a music player, and it does all of those tasks nearly as well as a dedicated single-task device does.
>>1894559
I'd remove the status bar and add widgets also the bottom is very empty.
>>1894559
How do you do the little portraits like that?
>>1894567
>and swiping on the second screen brings up more shortcuts, the most notable being the flashlight
Swiping the other way lets you see your music controls if you have one playing too.
>>1894578
Huh, didn't even know that.

With KLWP you can add a shape and set the fill as an image in the "FX" tab. There are also a lot of widgets on the play store that should let you do it.
Also just posting my finished rice for completion sake. Not perfect by any means but I've already messed with it so much and I feel like it's solid enough at this point.

>>1894709
Just get KWGT and get the default box, it's fun but just make it unique, imna just keep mine like this for a while .
>>1894439
The widget is actually pretty beneficial, so I just made it smaller and tried to make the spacing better for icons
Does this background look better than a solid block color?

>>1894727
I think an actual wallpaper as opposed to a block colour could work but I'm not sure that specific one does. It seems a bit too busy.
Been a while since I redid my rice, seems this KLWP is the new hotness? Is the free version fine or do I need pro to do most things with it?
>>1894755
Free has pretty much everything, but you need pro to export/import wallpapers.
>>1894727
Thanks man. I'd personally keep the widget fully opaque rather than slightly transparent, and keep transparencies consistent across the board (i.e. don't just keep some things opaque but make others transparent without a scheme that ties it together). Otherwise, a background does look better, but I'd search for one that's more evenly contrasted (if that makes sense?).
As for my rice, just for a quick explanation: I have a script set up to change the wallpaper to a Splatoon one when there's a map rotation I want to play (which I disabled and set to toggle between the Splatoon and non-Splatoon one for the purposes of this webm). Otherwise, it toggles between anime/Splatoon and a non-anime one when I'm out of my wifi's range.

Still version
>>1894551
Just some clarification. It does permanently hide them, but there are alternatives that will make up for the stock bar being hidden. The way I do it and probably the first solution anyone would come up with is to use PIE controls. I'm using a stock rooted (in this case root is needed) rom for my m9 and the playstore pie apps are working just fine.
Is it possible to make a sideways/vertical dock with nova launcher?
>>1894776
Reverse image search is your friend.
>>1894790
Oh wow, I actually had no idea you could reverse search webms. I never thought to try before.
>>1894793
Not webm, but the still image works! Tested it out. You could also screenshot the webm, then crop and search but that's a hassle. Easier to just reverse search a still image.
I'm relatively happy with how this turned out.
>>1894820
I'm pleased with this too. A bit more advice though, the date says evening at 11pm? If that's your iteration of evening of course. Maybe finding similar wallpapers to reflect night and day would be a good addition. Also, place a similar banner for your icons so they wouldn't look like randomly appearing. A blur would also work.
>>1894820
Good job! Personally, I don't like the font but there's nothing explicitly wrong with it. And I would pull the clock and song info off the left margin more (to match the icons margin width). Either way it's visually pleasing and actually usable.

>>1893392
What's the trick to getting this to work? is it the background? KLWP?
>>1895112
I would edit the outline off the 4chan icon, looks out of place among the other outlineless icons.
>>1895145
Cool wall but the icons don't look so great one the red. Maybe use teal to match her flarp costume? Or throw it all out and make a Nepeta hivescreen.
>>1895149
Photoshop/whatever you're comfy with.
The OP links don't help much, how exactly do the big launchers differ? What are the advantages of, say, ADW vs Apex vs Nova?
>>1895188
Afaik adw isn't really as up-to-date as the latter two. To be honest though, theres not a huge difference between Nova and apex. Both will give you similar levels of customizability. To achieve some of the more impressive results seen here you will need to use something in addition like KLWP, KWGT, or UCCW as a compliment to the launcher.
>>1895192
I've also heard that lightning launcher offers even more customization options on its own but I've never really tried it.
>>1893182
Did you make that clock widget in UCCW?
If so, how did you get the text to change depending on the day and hour? (day of week and AM/PM)
>>1895188
Nova is the best launcher. It has more features (such as sub-grid placement) than Apex.
>>1895224
>>1895188
How do those not help you much? They are pretty fucking basic. Is that really what his hanging you up that much?
Apex gives you more features for free though. Some things might not be there like sub grid placement (something that quite a few people don't use/need for their rice) while others like gestures are more fleshed out and more are given for free.
>>1895227
>more are given for free
That's a fair point, I can't remember which bits of Nova are only in the free version.
>quite a few people don't use/need
Sub-grid placement is the sort of thing that you make do without when you don't have it, but when you do it's really useful. It's just plain nicer to have more options for placing your icons.
>>1895188
>OP links don't help much
If you think the OP links don't help you're doing it wrong. They're not designed to be a "here is everything you could ever need to know and this is the recommended course of action" because then there would be even less variety as first-timers get stuck in the same ruts. They're a starting point and they tell you where to look when you figure stuff out for yourself.
The best way to approach something new is to download it (as it is almost always free at some level), try it, ask google when you get stuck and then after all that, post in the thread or join one of the irc channels for help. If everything was handed to you on a platter you may end up creating the same thing as everyone else, and that's just no good.
The main thing is to keep trying and to keep trying something new.
>>1895112
Last december, I spent an entire day working on a similar concept to this one to match my herbstluftwm setup, except that I didn't add icons to it and I was using a flat wallpaper. And I got my phone stolen hours after adding the finishing touches... it was a sad day. I didn't even took a screenshot of it.

The trick is to make the interface so complex people end up with a cheap China copy when they try imitating it. That's when the "request plzzz" starts.

Changed the colors and erased the lines to make it better, also I changed the pic to b&w to try(but I like it a lot more "full color")

Having trouble making a decent clock widget for this
>>1893243
It's Saint PEPSI BITCH!
In all seriousness, pretty nice.
Not a fan of the background color and the animation for switching pages is a little ugly.
8/10
>>1895257
Desaturate some of those colours, especially the ones on the clock widget. Consider looking at colour theory to find potential colour combinations based on the palette in the wallpaper that work even better than what you've chosen. I personally think what you have now has the potential to look a lot better than what you originally had. I would also not use those black icons as they stand out far too much due to the black being too black.
>>1895182
So.. Blur Main picture, Dup picture, White thick outline box?
I'll give that a try and put a music player on it too i guess
>>1895309
It would be better with bounced jump. Linear animation looks clumsily.
Otherwise it's good.
>>1895145
You need to replace these icons, they aren't combine with your style.
>>1894760
Very good. In my opinion, people shouldn't use non-default system font for their homescreens. Android uses only one typeface with little variations for all system and homescreen shouldn't get out of system style.
>>1894559
Statusbar can look good only on stock android (and even then not always). Think about hiding it.
>>1894439
Very good, I like it.
>>1894384
Here is an original http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/876016
Or you want my vectorised version?
I made some changes. Now left icons are expandable and have arrow icon, I think they look and feel better so. Also I made eyes blinking, lol, but animation starts every second for every eye and sometimes they are blinking together. I don't know how to make it better in klwp, even now the formula is very complicated.
something with jojo bizarre adventure?
>>1895237
And it's even better when you're using your own custom made launcher. because no matter how good are the china copies, you can just add way more functionality for less impact on your system.
>>1895450
You can definitely change the default font for one's device, so I dunno, seems like a moot point to me. I like Android's default font well enough but it's really quite easy to change and I like being able to use fonts I pick.
That blinking animation is pretty neat though! I dunno if it's a weird glitch in the recording but there's a subtle white flash, besides that this is pretty nice.
How many of you guys have actually rooted your phone for ricing? Is it worth doing it for the sole purpose of ricing?
>>1895372
Thanks! Yeah, you're right about the font, I just kept the font from my last rice, I shouldn't have been so lazy. I think this one suits the theme better.
>>1895450
Thanks too!, I thought about putting a bounce or overshoot, but I forgot. I added a little animation for the birds while I was at it.

Also I couldn't find some icons "less black", so if you know a pack that fits with the dock I would be grateful to you. (But probably I'll change the color of the dock so don't worry)
>>1895501
Nice pic, a little generic but nice. Try hiding the notification bar. Also, somehow I think the icons and the clock clash with the wallpaper. 6.5/10
How's this?
>>1895530
>>1895531
I like it, what kind of widget you use for that clock or is it just default

Nah, rooting to rice is not a good idea. I think the guide meant if you're rooted it will give a bit more ricing options, otherwise carry on.
