Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri
Just caught up with S02 as of today, CTRL+F & no Gate thread. Since I haven't passed through in a couple months, hope this isn't some annoying repeat.
Anyway, a couple semi-half-assed vidcaps I'm attempting. If anyone has anything, anime, manga, LN, other misc. art ... please contribute.

These don't look as good as I want them on a 27" 2560x1440, although not entirely terribad.
However, when I put them up on a 24" 1920x1080 and let windows fit them to the desktop, they look a bit better. Artifacts are still there, but less noticeable.

For anyone interested, using [HorribleSubs] GATE - 16 [1080p].mkv that went up on Nyaa tonight as source. Another reason I'm not wasting time trying to get crazy quality; source isn't exactly top.

But, to be very specific:
Go to your favorite torrent tracker (such as http://www.nyaa.se/) and use the search boxes at the top of the page to select for Anime - English translated and enter the search string "gate" and you'll see all the major current options.
The [HorribleSubs] 720 encodes are about the best quality/filesize tradeoff available if you just want to watch immediately. I've been playing with both their 720 and 1080 encodes to try and make a few papes just for funzies and there is very little difference ... and that's examining it at the individual frame level. When watching (on a 27" 2560x1440 monitor), the 720 encodes are plenty fine.
[SallySubs] is putting up decent BD encodes of the first season; they're up through Ep. 08. I'm going to play with one or two of those next weekend if I get time & see if I can pull some better wallpapers from those. Not sure if I'm enthusiastic enough to dig into any raws yet.
