True. Most of the games mentioned are far from comfy by my standards, one exception being kirby's adventure.
To name a few:

Crazy fucking haywire shit is 90% of the game, the rest is timing difficult jumps
>Metroid
A masterpiece no doubt, but overall a very eerie and not very comfy game
I suppose people have different interpretations of whats comfy. That said, my comfy nes game will always be Willow.

Lunar Pool is def comfy.. Very simple to play, can take your time between moves, can do a single player only mode and gets challenging on later levels. Very underrated one

I'm pretty sure this is the only NES game I completed. I can't handle the difficulty in most of them, Mario especially makes me rage with its physics since I'm used to the tweaks in Deluxe (which is based on All Stars if I recall)

Dragon Spirit, for me. It's just a simple shooter but the fantasy setting along with the uplifting music and generally low stress environments gets me every time. I love curling up with the Advantage on my lap and having a go at it.
You can even start the game in easy mode by dying during the prologue level. You play as a gold dragon instead of blue, which gets better abilities, has twice the life bar, and skips over some of the harder levels. Great way to kill 20 minutes or so. Best of all, it's cheap as fuck. For now.
