Welp I just sold all the junk genesis games I had for a cool $100 and have a deal pending on the cased set for $150, ordered an everdrive. what do I do with the rest? sega cd2 or 32x? get a different console? buy a stack of 3do games?

I'd say 32x, better games than the CD imo. The Everdrive is compatible with the 32x iirc (correct me if I'm wrong), so you'd have all the games you need right out of the box.

You can do what you want, and while that's economically sensible, I could never bring myself to do it. I might have over a few hundred bucks in retro software in my collection, but it just wouldn't be worth it to me, not when I could just budget myself in other places and probably save the same amount in a few month's time.
