Hey /vr/
There's been a lot of New Vegas threads lately, which then started spawning a lot of discussion on whether 3 or 4 hold up to it, surpass it, etc.
Looking to get /v/'s consensus on how it feels across the spread of the games, 1 & 2 getting thrown in as well, however their votes have been surprisingly low. Wanted to share on /vr/ where I'm more likely to find anons who played them, take a look?

That's correct, so far NV is winning by a wide margin, presumably because more anons have played it. Thought /vr/ might provide more perspective

2, easily. It's basically FO1 with more content and better mechanics. Felt good to not have to reload because my pants-on-head retarded companion pulled a Rosa Parks on me.

NV. Three holds a special place in my heart for being the very first Fallout game I ever played, but Obsidian understood Fallout better than Bethesda did, and it showed.

Four can get fucked with a rusty spade. All the problems of 3, while at the same time learning NOTHING from NV's success.

See above. FO4 is a stupider FO3 with prettier graphics, made to pull in the FPS crowd.

NV was a good game, and I'll probably replay it before I load up FO2 again, but 2 was the better game.

Mostly agreed on all of your points with a few exceptions
First, I actually still prefer 1 to 2 despite 2 being so much larger. 2 as a whole felt slightly less coherent than 1: 1 was short, but it was concise, the shortness worked to its favor to make a well constructed game/story with bountiful number of options to each problem. It's definitely not as big but I feel that doesn't take away from it.
I actually prefer 4 to 3 as well. They're both deeply flawed in the sense of an RPG, and I'd argue that 3 manages to be a better RPG by virtue of the facts you still have your skills, but 4 has the better story than 3. IT offers you more options that make more sense to the player than LOL lets put poison in the water and while I think it suffers being so dumbed down and losing the ability to make my character unique but I enjoy the narrative more than 3 by a wide margin
Finally I can't help but feel I enjoy NV more than 1 or 2, partially assisted by bias as it was my first genuine Fallout experience (not counting 3) but it offers so much more content, more armor more weapons more builds and more factions for the final ending to use than 1 or 2. I realize this may seem hypocritical saying as how I prefered 1 to 2 despite 2 being larger, but whereas I didn't enjoy 2's story as much as 1's I enjoyed NV's story most of all.
