I have to say, after viewing Mewtwo Strikes Back after a long time without seeing it, subbed.
The first 20 minutes of the movie feels nothing like a typical Pokémon experience.
And I loved it.
The rest of the movie still had atmosphere that I don't usually feel in this series at all. I wish we could have more of it.

I think it's a pretty good movie.
You can choose to see the scene where all the originals fight the clones as them fighting to the death rather than just fainting each other.
I can't make any excuse for the tears scene though, apart from that in a novelization it was kind of foreshadowed.

They always forget to give a random first stage pokemon an episode in every saga. Duskull never got a filler in Hoenn, just background appearances in other episodes. Kricketot never got any episode in DP either, just background appearances.
In BW there were at least two pokemon that didn't even get any proper episode.
