for the dude a few threads ago who was asking if I was palying with exp share on my Y nuz, I'm not and I don't think I will turn it on at this point.

Just resumed my run through all the gens, after successfully getting all 16 badges in crystal (fuck all that grinding I would need to do for Red), I picked my Umbreon McCloud as the survivor of my team to start the next game with.
I ended up using the Universal Pokemon Randomzier to make an Eevee my starter, with nothing else changed. I decided it should replace Torchic because Blaziken and Grovile can both be made weak to an Eevee if I evolve it to the right thing, while Swampart resists or is neutral to all of them but Leadeon, which doesn't exist this gen.
As always, this run does NOT have a dupes clause (because I like the extra challenge of having a box full of crap), and casually follows an overgrind rule based on the leader's ace (I'll stop grinding at around that level, but if it happens do to normal, non--grinding play, I'm not gonna box it). And of course a successful run (in this case becoming champion) has a survivor of my team become my next starter, and a failed run means next run (either moving on OR a replay, depending on when it happens) must release the starter as soon as it gets a second mon.
Just beat Wattson after he trashed my regular team.
My team during the battle:

>Gloom Lv24 to swap from gyarados to take a few shock waves from voltorb
Just caught a Numel Lv15, grinding on the low road before going ahead to fiery path
