Iwane is still considered a god by the simple virtue of being a really good solo animator. Like, he can do all alone a better job than a whole team.
But, if we only consider quality over quantity, then Ohashi and Nishiyan (and others guest animators that worked in XY/XY&Z) delivered far better animation than him.
