The main problem with the anime is that no matter how hype a saga is by the time the next arc starts everything is forgotten. Everything I got excited about when DP feels like it didn't matter. Everything I liked about AG was swept under the rug.
As much as I like XY, if the writers do axe the entire cast and their pokemon again, it just takes the wind out of everything. Knowing next arc will pretend all of XY never happened or have little references to it is sad.

I do, I usually get 1 or 2 games each generation but since I didn't really like Ruby/Sapphire I didn't bother with ORAS and got Y at launch. Now I'm trying to complete de Pokédex and I'm almost done, it's at 712 and now I'm missing event Pokémon only, some of which will be distributed in the coming months.
