Meaning that the cells now have full control to de-integrate and integrate the body as they wish.
The snake Zygarde it's just a fusion of cells. That's why the body glows as hexagonal cells.

This feels like Mystery Dungeon.
Also we don't even know who was AZ fighting against in the war. Maybe Zygarde's Owner or Megazygarde by itself, then after the war zygarde cores got separated to get back to their normal form (Xerneas and Yveltal) and the cells had to create the snake zygarde without a core and hiding underground until a new disaster comes to kalos. And that's why Zygarde helps you with the Team Flare's machine ruining it from underground.
