Aside from legendaries, all pokemon who appear in movies first eventually appear in episodes. Although the writers do eventually give most legendaries episode appearances too.
Most of the BW legends never appeared in episodes though.
Hell it took them 10 years to put Jirachi in an episode. After the 6th movie in 2004 it didn't appear in an episode all the way till BW's Decloara Island arc.
