Most fake leakers usually make up final evolution leaks rather than mid because they assume those are the most interesting ones to know about.

For once, let's try not to bring the other leaks into the mix, this already seems to be a pretty legitimate hint on mid starter evos. and Pikipek and Salandit's evo, whether it's authentic or not.
Most fake leakers already have things planned out and wouldn't mistype Jap. names if their plans involved such. He just so happened to misremember twice and yet, the names actually seem to make sense once corrected despite it and seem to add up regardless.

I think I see the point you're trying to make, bu it's not a matter of how they are written in Japanese, it's how they sound. For example, Hitokage is written ヒトカゲ but the inspiration comes from 火 (hi) meaning "fire" and 蜥蜴
(tokage) meaning "lizard."
