Curious how it looks for other poke go players

Yellow team
Let's red scum in your closest gym
Fucking cuckold
>>27124500
It's about the same in all directions. I'm about to go in the other direction to crush like 3 red gyms after recharging my phone
Rural living is suffering. That's the only stop within 10 miles, and you have to hop a fence to get close enough to it.
I don't know why I even bothered with this game.
>>27124585
Doesn't look like you are bothering if you haven't even caught a pidgy yet
>>27124616
I haven't, really. I don't like the idea that I'll have to load up and drive 30 minutes or so to find anywhere that MIGHT have a tolerable amount of stops and activity.
I have uni later this week, so maybe it'll be decent there, at the least. One can hope.
>>27124585
Tell me about it. I don't have it as bad as you - the high street in my town has like ten stops, but the only pokemon around are trashmons like pidgeys and weedles and noone ever puts lures on stops.
>>27124500
Don't have a screenshot, but about 10 minutes away from me there is a lovely park with two gyms and over a dozen pokestops. It's absolutely packed with walkers and rollerbladers staring at their phones. Cops have already had to make people leave in the middle of the night when it's closed. We're calling it the Safari Zone.
Pic related is what it looks like on the Ingress map.
Its like this 360 degrees.
Out where I live there's nothing.
The park I typically go to for a jog/walk has 4 stops and a gym. Valor and lolstink are fighting for it. Guess Mysticucks are too busy stroking their egos to notice it.
At my college is 4 gyms and 20 pokestops. But everyone that goes up there are mostly mysticucks. There's like, 4 of us Valorbros there and we currently hold 1 gym.
The game itself is shit imo but it's a fun social game. But as expected, that one power grinding autist who takes the game too far/too seriously has to ruin the fun for everyone.
Nearest pokestops are 2 miles away. But they're in clusters of like 15
I've got two fucking stops and i'm sick of hearing people bitch about gps spoofing to get better locations
fuck you and your location privilege
>tfw you live in the country
It's like this 360 degrees
Could you not add notable locations on Google Map Maker? That may generate new ingame items at those locations.
Also why is there no Diglets?
These are the only people who I have no problem with spoofing their location.
>>27125088
When Ingress came out you were able to add locations by submitting them to Niantic. Niantic can't be everywhere, and their information relies solely on Google Maps. I don't think they do that anymore though.
>>27124500
actually there is a pokéstop nearby in my city which is odd since the game have to be released in europe soon.
>>27125142
I was under the impression locations were just generated from exiting Google Maps markers? It would be insanity to manually place markers globally.
>blurb hypes up the exploration aspect
>all the features are in cities
>fuck all out in the boonies, hills, fields and low-footfall areas
I don't know what I expected, I mean understandably it's a business venture after all so they've got to cast the net where there are the most people. Does anyone living near an actual national park or nature reserve know if there's anything interesting nearby?
>>27125202
It's a real missed opportunity. You'd think they'd have ultra rare monsters spawn in remote locations to make them super special at least.
>>27125189
All of Go's markers came from Ingress. Of course, not all ingress portals became PokeStops/Gyms so they had to run some algorithm but so far in my town 90% of the ingress markers became a Pokestop or Gym.
That's why when Niantic released Ingress you were able to submit locations. All Niantic did at first was take every place that's listed on Google Maps as a public building/location turned into a portal. Users were then able to submit locations by taking a picture of the location and submitting it. That's why you have random shit like a mural in a firehouse subs.
>>27125272
Ok that makes sense
>>27125202
I walked around a couple of nature reserves near where I live and there is barely anything there but a few pidgy and ratata.
Was disappointed, hoped for something uncommon at least
>having a pokestop anywhere on your radar
man, you guys have it easy
>>27124585
mhm, 4 poke stops and 1 gym in my entire town.
>>27125318
You guys have Pokemon in your nearby box though... mine is empty
>>27125202
Yeah, having more success walking to your run-of-the-mill local urban park than you would if you took a day trip out to a place of outstanding natural beauty but in the middle of buttfuck nowhere is ass backwards.
>>27125393
lot of good it does when I'm out of pokeballs
I'm in new York city, the one right next to me is across the street from my job
>>27125240Maybe they do
>>27125318
this
if you have anything within a 2 mile radius of you then this game is too easy for you
>>27125427
Yeah at the Cherbnobyl reactor, right
>play PoGo at uni
>one of the gyms is constantly switching between teams every few minutes
Intense. Sadly my strongest pokemon is 450 CP.
At this point I don't care If I get banned for spoofing. No point in playing legitly in bum fuck Dakota Res bullshit.
>>27125446
A month from now, we'll be how we are right now.
A month from now, YOU'LL be in the best shape of your life.
>>27125496
A month from now, he won't have played PoGo for 3 weeks because there's nothing to fucking do in the game where he lives.
>>27125460
Some guy spoofed his location to there, there is a gym and a few stops, but not special mons.
>>27125530
for now
Something something make landmarks on google maps something something google maps updates every week.
Anyone else spoofing? Half the time i move (doesnt matter how far) the app goes to my real location for a sec and then jumps toy spoofed location. Pokestops usually dont show up, and i have to force close and restart. This makes catching shit thats 2 or 3 prints away pretty much impossible. Anyone know a fix?
>>27125575
Yeah, go out and walk.
>>27125575
I would try it if getting banned meant that you can't ever use the app on that phone again.
>>27125530
Encouraging kids to go play Pokemon at that place might be the most evil thing you could do Tbh
>>27125575
just park yourself in central park
>>27125087
this
>live near many interesting natural areas, ruins, two national parks
Well I was kind of hyped for Go but it sounds like there's basically no point in leaving towns and cities.
>>27125087
>tfw livin in small village
>closest Pokemon center is 30 minutes away driving
>tfw your town is so shit that pretty much anything is set as a landmark
Guess I can't complain.
>>27124500
>All my pokeshops are churches
Fuck me
>>27125933
Rural Europe?
>>27125909
Topkek
>Pokestop: the town tumbleweed
>>27125962
Yep. Life is suffering.
>>27124500
I live near my college. I'm set boys.
This is the view from my house. I can pretty much get infinite pokeballs just by walking around town grabbing every stop. Just out of view is the park where there's like 5 more stops and another gym pretty close together.
>>27125088
Theyre protesting with the BLM
>>27125033
Charge your phone you goddamn maniac
>>27125496
this
i rode my bike 7 miles in one night, and i started late
luckily i have at least two pokestops in my neighborhood
who here /wetbacks/?
>>27124500
>that autistic name
Kys yourself.
>>27124500
hold me bros
>>27125933
Nearly all the ones where I live are pubs.
Couldn't get the game to work on my phone so i installed it on my PC and spoofed around my area to see what i could find. Literally 30 minute drive of nothing but beautiful waterfalls, parks, woodland jogging paths etc (Obviously found no pokemon so exploring the beauty of nature would be pointless and then there was a single Gym and a Catholic Church pokestop, Go another 10 miles for another Catholic church and a Mormon church. After spoofing all over my town i managed to catch 4 Pokemon. Oddish, Caterpie, Drowzee and Pidgey. I did see a few Abra show up 3 footsteps away but i couldn't find them. Then i decided to take the soft-ban and travel to Washington DC with its fuckin 3 pokestops every block and Pokemon fuckin everywhere. I also tried Area 51 to look for Mew or Mewtwo but there was no pokemon except a single Koffing. Checked Roswell for Mew, Mewtwo or Clefairy as well but all it had was Growlithe, Polywag and Abra. I already uninstalled but it was interesting to look at for a bit.
>>27124500
Is this Utah?
Utah cities are always grids
>tfw gym across the street, dominated by instinct faggots
Soon.
>>27125087
I know that feel bro. I live in a heavily populated suburb and it still looks like this.
>>27125933
You too?
99% of the fucking pokestops here are churches. there are two non-church stops near a mall (and eachother) but its a 30 minute drive over there.
>closest pokestop is 10-15 minutes away
>>27125087
Yeah, I found out the closest stops are a church and a cemetery. It's nice they're a 30 minute walk from my house but the service is awful and they're the only two in the whole town besides a post office.
One of my stops is a Chinese restaurant called "The Golden Wang"
>>27124585
I feel you anon
I'm glad churches are guaranteed Pokéspots.
My local town is littered with spots, at least.
>1000+1000+3+3+3+7
>Not warping around at the speed of sound in your comfy bed
>>27127464
How
>>27127464
what program are you using for walking around?
The one I use is comfy for locations, but you can't 'walk' properly..
>>27124500
>>27124585
Literally every other Pokestop and two of the three gyms in my area are on the other site of town, and these two are basically around the entrance of the next town over. It blows ass.
>>27124500
What is everybody cathing in his neighbourhood?
And add where/what kind of place you live (country probably too)
>>27126136
fucking wild gengar holy shit
>>27125087
Building a house on some land in December. Sucks that it'll mean the end of this game for me. I'm pretty hype again next gen releases.
>>27124946
Those streets are pretty neat anon, where do you live?
>>27124500
>ITT Mystics and Instincts get mad about walking past churches and get triggered
>>27127806
It ran away from me and I'm still a tad salty.
There's a park right across from my window that I can easily take 5 minutes to walk to.
There's tons of people that use lures there, and there's more pokestops on the other side.
For the town that I live in, that's not too bad.
Found an eevee, Wooo but yeah that's the nearest stop
>>27124567
>Crush the Almighty Team Valor
>>27124585
Know some people playing in a rural area. Distances aren't bad on paper, but the roads are really short there, so you have to take an elaborate route to even get near a Pokéstop.
Stay salty, ruralfags
>>27125496
you need to drive to get out of suburbia
Manhattan reporting
>>27124500
About 30 minutes south of Denver.
On vacation out here though, moving back to central jersey soon which should have a fuck ton of stops.
