I've been battling gyms every day since the game launched, I can confirm right now that it's not worth the hassle at the moment. 10 coins per gym owned every 21 hours, but if you fail to collect the coins (due to shit servers/too busy/etc) and they take the gym from you, you get nothing. The gyms near me are too spaced out for me to keep track of 6+ gyms.

So there's a theory going around on french forums which states that the locations where pokes spawn are certain GPS coordinates and that the pokes respawn every 30 to 60 minutes. There seems to be pretty substantial evidence of this on these forums (multiple people saying that they have periodic encounters with the same poke at the same place etc.). Anyone here got any experience with this ?
