The closest pokemon to my house I've seen was about a half mile away, and as soon as I got near it, it fucking vanished. The closest pokestop is more than a 10 minute drive away. I've yet to so much as catch any pokemon other than my starter despite being out and about all damn day.

there were a bunch of mons in my apartment complex (includig staryu, magikarp, psyduck, and goldeen due to the stream running through the middle), then I took a mile walk down the road and found nothing, then when I got to another neighborhood mons started showing up again. I don't understand why mons are only in residential areas.
