That would be a tie between the shiny Hoothoot that popped up in the beginning of Heart Gold version(when I didn't have access to Poke Balls yet) and the accidently knocking out my first horde shiny in X version, which was a Hoppip(I momentarily got confused by the horde layout).

I was getting it solely for my shiny living dex, plus I found a shiny Venomoth in 2 encounters within finding a shiny Toxicroak in the Friend Safari. I love its eyes and it was one of the Pokemon I wanted specifically for its color.

You've to log in so you can record your successful/unsuccessful and in-progress shiny hunts. For instance, say you're 300 eggs in and you need to take a break for whatever reason, you can just click "save" (it'll look orange) and when you're ready come back and resume it.
Also, registering takes literally 2 seconds because there's no e-mail confirmation.

Not him, but I'll explain. On DS systems, there's things called "friend codes" that you can use to add other people. Once you've added someone (and they've added you IIRC), you can then visit their friend safari in pokemon. A friend safari is just a little small patch of grass that you access by going to a house in North East Kiloude City. Each friend safari has 3 pokemon (that are usually somewhat better than normal pokemon you find on routes) and has a massively increased shiny rate (1/512). When someone adds you, they have to tell you what's in your friend safari.

Funny thing, I actually tried adding older sprites along with the XY sprites initially but no matter what I did I couldn't format it in any way that looked even tolerable because they were different sizes. Also, I've searched everywhere for GSC sprite packs and the 3~ I've downloaded all have shinies with transparent backgrounds but normal sprites with white backgrounds making it look really, really ugly.
I'm honestly not sure when it will be ready, but progress has been fast (I only started 2 days ago) so who knows. Cheers for the support!

I'm currently working on an odds calculator (it's super easy), and saving the odds would be trivial too. I never thought about saving the odds but it makes sense now that you've said it. I'll write it down on the todo list.

The drop-down list is generated "on the fly" by iterating over a large JSON object that contains just the national pokedex number and name of every pokemon. The sprites are stored according to their pokedex number, so to get the right image you just get the pokedex number of the select option and add ".gif" afterwards.
To add alternate forms I'd have to find the sprites and edit the JSON file. All in all it's not difficult, but I've got other things that take priority at the moment.
