More km seems to mean rarer pokemon, both 2 kilometers one I hatched were Rattata, both 5 km ones I hatched were a Voltorb and Oddish

The best part is the candy, you get a shit load of candy with the pokemon so it becomes extremely easy to evolve

Lower CP pokemon you catch are cheaper to power up. Also be sure to check their moves, sometimes they have a more powerful set than a higher CP 'mon you pick up.

There's quite a few I can hit around here too, but a couple of the gyms are in super fucking sketchy parts of town that I do not want to be wandering around in with my phone out.

How do I capture my first pokemon? Do I click on it or walk? Any help please. I tried both but my character doesn't move.
