The issue with the opening is that it's going to get replaced with the shitty movie variation with movie scenes after the next episode, and that will most likely go on until after the league is over. They only changed a scene regarding the Team Flare arc because that will still be going on after the movie opening ends its run.

The animation in this episode was rather disappointing in comparison to other XY&Z battles, but still looks much better than any other league.
