>Togedemaru
Why? What kind of an English name is that supposed to be? It's literally the Japanese name, and while many other Pokemon share this trait, this particular one doesn't work as an English name AT ALL. Show me another Pokemon with as Japanese-sounding English name as this guy.
>Protip: you fucking can't
Also: how are you going to pronounce this Mon's name?
Toe-gay-day-muh-rue.
emolga, pachirisu, and stingulor you twat
Pachirisu.
Also you pronounce it
Toe-Geh-Deh-Maa-Roo
sup?
>>26938604
Pachirisu
>>26938623
Emolga is close enough to english. It doesn't have nearly as many unnecessarily accompanying vowels as a name like Pachirisu or Togedemaru
>>26938623
>>26938625
>>26938639
Pachirisu doesn't sound nearly as Japanese as Togedemaru tho. It fits much better into the English language.
>>26938604
Pikaclones always keep the same name, except for Emonga, which was changed to Emolga because "mong" is a British slang term for people with Down's Syndrome.
Every Pikachu-releated Pokemon has the same name in English and Japanese
>wanting localized names
> It's literally the Japanese name
Pichu, Pikachu, Raichu, Plusle, Minun, Pachirisu, Emolga and Dedenne are all the same in japanese.
>how are you going to pronounce this Mon's name?
Why do people have problems with it? it's just Togedemaru, it's japanese, it's not that damn hard. Toh-geh-deh-ma-ru. What else are you going to say, Two-gee-dee-may-roo?
Puhzinga

Tow(toe) gé dé maru
I love it
It should be compulsory to at least know katakana to post on this board
>>26938906
Those names are relatively short and easy to pronounce, though; I also thought that Pachirisu and Dedenne could've been changed when I first heard of them, as they don't really roll off the tongue. Togedemaru takes it to the extreme. Would it have hurt them to call Pachirisu Pachiri? Dedenne Deden? Togedemaru Togema or something? They're still from the japanese names, but we can actually say them without much effort.

>Scythear
Get out

>They're still from the japanese names, but we can actually say them without much effort.
>Having this much trouble pronouncing Togedemaru
>>26938946
>without much effort
>oh wow what an exhausting day today. I had to pronounce Togedemaru
>>26939009
Say Pichu three times fast, and then say Togedemaru three times fast.
>>26938604
>Also: how are you going to pronounce this Mon's name?
>english fags can't pronounce a shit name
>mfw
>>26938906
Emolga was Emonga in Japanese and Plusle and Minum were Prasle and Mainum.
If Plusle came here as Praisuru then I'd feel the same way I do about Togedemaru, because that's what it sounds like.

Here I am studying hiragana
>thread is almost the same as the thread complaining about electric hedgehog's name yesterday
>>26938921
What's that? An "oh exploitable" image? Why, don't mind if I do.
>americans can't into pronunciation
>get triggered by more than 2 syllables
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>>26938725
Yeah, but at least they put some effort in the Japanese name for the internationalization for all of them but Paruichusi and Bodegumaru

If you actually have trouble remembering Togedemaru, you have problems
Pachi is actually a pain

Ich bin Deutscher du idiot. A boarischer um gnau zum soa, aba soibst wandst deitsch kennan dads, den dialekt kennst es saupreißn einfach ned vasteh.
Proof that I'm not american, there are no bilingual americans after all.
Toe-geh-deh-mah-roo
>>26938604
It sounds like shit in English. It only sounds good if you say it in an accent in which is sounds natural. There should be a hyphen or a an "ei" or a "schwa 'a'" somewhere in there.
>>26939139
>implying all the bilingual americans aren't the reason trump is winning
>tfw Boober could've been the English name too
so Togepi + Pachirisu
>>26938604
I wasn't able to remember its name until I have memorized it easily as "toge de maru" which sounds like a given name instead of a long foreign word.

Sphere Pikachu. I'm not gonna put effort into remembering such a shitty pokemon's name.
>>26938604
the same way you pronounce pikachu and pachirisu faggot
>>26939156
it only sounds shit in English if you faggots can't stop using long vowels to anything
for fuck's sake why can't you be like the latin speakers and use short vowels
