Grubbin will evolve into Charjabug. Charjabug represents a pupa, what with its hard edges that resemble a cocoon. Grubbin is larva, and the fact that it's unprotected leaves it rounded and squishy. Charjabug is based on a battery, not a bus, with its two mandibles being the terminals. This carries over to Vikivolt, whose two mandibles also have a voltage difference across them, supporting the rail gun theory that's been tossed around.

Gen V did that already, but I'd like to see it again. Scolipede is my favorite bug, but Vikavolt seems like a strong contender for that position.

Not great, but it got something to slightly overcome its shit stats. Hopefully Vikavolt continues the trend and, if it falls into the usual early evolution, shit stats hole, it has something to compensate. You'd think if we're going to get at least two of the older gens' early route shitmon bugs, we can at least allow the new three stage, larva-cocoon-adult Pokemon to not be saddled with being the early game evolver.
