We already know of 4 legendaries (Solgaleo, Lunala, Marshadow, and Magearna) and considering the fact there are also apparently guardian Pokemon for the 4 islands in Alola we have a total of 8 legendaries so far. Plus 9 is barely anything, reminder that Sinnoh and Unova had 14 and 13 legendaries respectively.
