I think you're only seeing one of the purposes of this thread, in my opinion it has a three fold purpose.
1. To teach others how to inject (/ provide tech support)
2. To do injections for others who can't (or could if they'd read the OP)
3. To reduce the number of injectors in /wfg/

This is the sole reason for the creation of this general. There is ONE injector here and he is asleep. The OP was created by someone from /wfg/ to make this general as a containment so they don't get triggered in /wfg/ by excluding and harassing anyone who is okay with injections.

the correct answer is yes, they can be traded through the GTS, but only if they have had the event ribbon removed, making them not-legit. but good enough for online battling.
